Who stole the soap dispencers
looks like a nice place to take a crap
where are the faucets?
Yeah where are those soap dispensers now and the faucets. LOL. Interesting that the sinks are to the back? Odd layout to me.
Maybe the toilets are on the other side of the wall from the sinks? Or maybe the soap dispensers are on the other side?
Very strange sinks!
All those pegs on the wall were probably the faucets and soap dispensers at one time...
I really love the soft light in this one, sweet shot!
these sinks remind me of the sinks in Madeline (the little french girl at bording school). i don't know why that's the first thing i thought of.
Talked to the 92 year old next door. He took part in "liberating" France in WWII. His memory is pretty good. He said this was probably the laundry. Also said French bathrooms did not have urinals. Just a wall to aim at and a channel on the floor that water tricked through to a drain.
The hooks on the wall look like they held mirrors and back then, they probably used regular bar soap.
Motts ,I think you have a gift .You don't seem to be able to take a bad photo DG...
ahh...communal living...

..the soap dispensers are on the other side.
great shot ! as always
You take wonderful and intriguing pictures! FTW! And is that a wooden floor in this wash-room? How nice for bare feet, wood always feels warmer.
