Very interesting , the round area reminds me of a face 2 eyes, open mouth with a cone shapped hat.
This place reminds of that old Shirley Temple move called "The Littlest Princess".
wasn't it kind of dangerous to stand up there?
Wow!
I can see how this would remind you of "Littlest Princess".
Rapunzel, Rapunzel, let down your golden hair!!! The turret definitely looks like it is leaning!
oddly enough this portion of the Hall
was the nursery /childrens wing of the original hotel!
Such victorian beauty!! I just love older houses. You can have your dry-wall. When they knock this place down, I don't want to know about it.
hehe perfect place for a horror film
That is absolutely stunning. I'm not sure if anyone here has been to the Castle in the Clouds (in Moultonborough, NH), but this turret reminds me a lot of it.
I don't want to hear about demoloshings either nancy!
this is the only section to be spared demolition. soon...
If you fell in there, no one would find you.
Turret!!! Thats' the word I was looking for these so many years to describe this type of architecture!!
This one is different in that it goes into a sloping roof and has a little connecting "gable' alongside another gable.
That was part of the college president's office. He lived in the large house up on top of the hill to the east on the drive that went past the gym and onto the theater.
This whole place reminds me of the Popeye movie with Robin Williams lol
Can you imagine a bunch of pretty coeds in those windows waving at firends ------

waving gooodbye maybe
looks a bit like an abandoned set from a disney movie
I can see the major reason the place is falling apart. Check your roof shots..no flashing, or, it's installed wrong, allowing rainwater to invade the building. So sad....
as a woman I would've never looked at the flashing only the age of the grand old lady
I regret any of this establishment be demolished!
my cousin has turrets.
The windows make the turret look shocked
everytime I go there I am fascinated by the turret
