Caverns Up High

Caverns Up High

The top floor was stunningly organic; even the floor had graceful curves. A set of tracks was in the center, and on either side were pits that led to deep shafts or bins (I'm assuming for coal).

Looks like it never ends.
Your most immense "Hallway Shot" Motts! : )
This was the top floor? Unimaginable, just the size!
Wow. That's something out of a dream.. or nightmare, whichever you interperate it as. Beautiful shots!
WOW that is an amazing shot ...
Great one! Looks like the dirt floor on the left might fall into the black abyss below. Don't know if I'd walk there.
Why is the one set of windows black and all the rest have light coming in? Almost like it is up against a wall...
Feels alive....
I am always amazed and intrigued by your shots my friend. I beg of you to wallpaper this shot! 1600x1200 as a request!
And I don't know your feelings on HDR but you have some wonderful candidates for conversion! Keep up the good work fellow shooter!
Holy shite what an amazing shot! I love the repetition of arches, simply breathtaking.
Looks like someplace you'd see an amusement park ride rolling through.
Thank you for the wallpaper Motts!
Looks like a creepy fall out shelter.
at least they didn't make their employees work in the dark. have to wonder how hot it got up there in the summer if there were trains and coal and the machinery.
they don't make ceilings like that anymore.
That must have been spooky even in full operation.
Whoa! Wallpaper makes you feel like your standing there.
How do you find these places?????
Reminds me of a subway shot or something like the holland tunnel
