Ooh! This picture makes me feel like I was just wandering through the grass and suddenly made a discovery!
It says 'very fragile' in Dutch and French. Given the context I think the box may have held detonators, aka torpedos' in the US
This photo has hit me like a brick wall. Fragile yet tossed aside.
hopefully that box was empty before it was cast aside like a forgotten toy...
