Saint Éloi

Saint Éloi

I noticed a small shrine high above the ground; St Éloi (also known as Saint Eligius) is the patron saint of metalworkers.

Cool, I wonder where the statue went?
Shrines on factory walls... very 'urban gothic' I love it!!!
im not a very religious person but it does make me somewhat sad to see religious things like this treated with disrespect and carelessness
How unusual.
Hmmm... learn something everyday!
since there are no more trainworkers I guess the saint decided to leave too
Im hoping the statue was removed when the place closed and put in a safe place.
Thought it was St. Alfonso as in pancake breakfast. (Zappa)
He took the last train out.
your name is"Weena" and your
people are the "Eloi"
Very interesting! Great shot..
There are light bulbs there. my guess is there was a stained glass window that was backlit by the bulbs... probably looked really pretty compared to the barren bleakness of the rest of the complex
