Edelweiss

Edelweiss

Aside from a few broken instrumentation faces, the locomotives seemed very intact and in good condition.

Its a really small detail, and maybe even accidental, but I love the way the pillars and such outside of the train is only just visible through the windows. And with that awesome contrast in lighting.
Other than the grubiness of 1950's like design the train looks ready to go..

just push that lever to the right of the bell
That is just cool..
Alex J., I don't believe that Mr. Motts ever does anything in his photography that's accidental. He just has this wonderful talent to be able to see the things that you and I might just walk by and miss. And aren't we lucky he shares his "vision" with us!
Too bad the train wouldn't stat, I would drive it out of this place.
Edelweiss...named after a rare flower in Germany. Grows only in the mountains. Anyone see Band Of Brothers? Anyway, great detail Motts. I wouldn't be surprised if the train still works...
What stories it could tell.
i would so try to drive that thing out of there.so cool.
