Interlocking

Interlocking

Inside the large chapel, which looked like it underwent a face-lift in the 50s or 60s by the light fixtures and tiled altar area.

the ceiling could be the floor &n the floor could be the celing......very interesting .
seems odd that its not peaked like the other ceilings . probly not original, to keep down on heating bills maybe ???
Its strange that its so narrow and no stained glass windows
Cool!
my head hurts after looking at that ceiling too long...
A little bit like an Escher print.
Is that a chalk outline on the floor?
Makes you go all cross eyed! o.O
I'm surpried the chapel is so plain compared to the rest of the building. It almost looks like a rec room
It looks really small for a chapel too.....interesting ceiling as well....
Looks like they lowered the ceiling. Look at the walls, looks like the sides of arches!
whats up with the "chalk" outline on the floor?
The ceiling certainly looks like a rec room.
My money's on the chapel theory. the windows are brightly lit so maybe south facing? This would make the stage (alter end) at the east, where most catholic alters are oriented. also it seems like two rows of pendant lights that would have been above two rows of pews.
They had to have arched windows... Its the only way to tell gravity what to do.
imagine having to spend a night here all by yourself. That's the stuff of nightmares!
I agree with the lowered ceiling comment. The tops of the arched windows are too close to the ceiling. The edges where the ceiling meets the wall are sloppy, especially on the lest side. The rectangle on the floor looks like tape to me. It looks like there is an aluminum pipe that rises to the ceiling on the right. I wonder what that was about.
Again with the tile. And in a CHAPEL? Weird.
