There are some great aerial photos and stories about this place on the net. It was quite a large complex.
Oh Oh OH!!! I WANT that around my front door!!!! Great composition, and perfect choice for B&W. Like the geometric quality, and the contrast between the vertical pilasters and the horizontal brick and windows.
some doorways look like big nasty mouths to me.
Nice.....
I hear Bela Lagosi's voice....he is saying "Enterrrrr" and is in his cape...his fangs just peeking out from under his upper lip....his lip quivering in anticipation of a bloody meal......
He is standing just inside the door, out of site, to the right.....
is the door cut in half or am I seeing things
It seems to me that such a grand building would have had a much grander entrance.
Is grander a word?
Gorgeous - love the detail on the door, and the black and white accentuates it nicely.
I just saw a rat run out of there.
I like this picture, the door looks kinda sawed off .
r u fuckin people serious??!!! research this "hospital",it was worse than a concentration camp when its doors were open, the "cool" golden bathtubs u people liked were really hydro theapy tubs, where patients where submerged in ice cold water 20 times a day, also they performed labtomies, and hydro shock treatments here,if you dont know what that is,its the electrical chair. That place today is the home of many tormented souls, still haunting the walls inside today.I cant beleive u people.ia_allday@yahoo.com
Get over yourself willy, sure, horrors beyond horrors happened here, but the place is interesting. The fact that it's haunted makes it interesting; just like the concentration camps were interesting and people are of course....Interested. Commenting on the "gold tubs of icy death" in no way belittles the tragedy of the place.
amazing picture
Willy, where are you getting your facts from--where's the proof of all this stuff you're claiming. As was stated previously, a human body would not last long in an "ice bath" which is not just cold water but is water that is colder than what the human body could tolerate. About the tubs, we know they are hydrotherapy tubs because it's been said several times already. Hydro shock therapy is absolutely not the same as an electric chair LOL--use of the latter might be considered permanent and nowhere near being theraputic. Also please learn to spell LOL
