Torched Grandeur

I remember the basement of administration being filled with junk and the rest of the floors being pretty empty, much like the remaining wards. However, this area was endowed with ornate doors, trim, lights, and similar accents that were left behind. The smoke and fire damage was much more extensive here as well.

Those doors are just gorgeous. Those kinds of details are one of my favorite things about older buildings, particularly hospitals. It looks like the door handles were (hopefully) salvaged.
I just bought a couple of those vent covers. I am going to put them over the light wells in my stairway at home. Right now they are boring louvers

It looks like there are vinyl records on the floor. And I wonder what's through the attic door on the ceiling in the closet...
