Rested

A number of old beds were stored down here, rusting away in the stale humid air.

Silent hill....
tthis one I LOVE !
Wouldnt it be cool to have one of these for personal use. Just imagine the dreams.....
Pardon me for nitpicking, but isn't "stale humid air" a bit of a contradictory statement? Eh, I guess not, now that I think about it. I love your photos, by the way. I've been looking at them for a few months now, but this is only the second or third time I've commented on them.
This sort of reminds me of the room full of beds at Glenn Dale Hospital.
sorry you would have to pay me a sh*tload of money to sleep in this room!
enough of the silent hill comments! if i had a nickel for every one of those! patients that experienced the sad but all-too-familiar kind of mistreatment in these places need to be respected and remembered, not compared to a fucking video game.
actually, with 143 mentions of it on the site thus far, i would only have $7.15. let's keep it that way though, huh?

and motts,
i apologize for the language.
Could you even breathe in here?
Actually, KBWS, Silent Hill is a good way of remembering these people. The games show depictions of such atrocities which encourage the people who play them to look into what they are based on.

Most young people today wouldn't have a clue about the institutionalised cruelty of psychiatric facilities - even those of us with psychiatric illnesses often do not experience anything too out there.

...asides from cold food.
When I was in a psych hospital, my food was hot!
agree w/KBWS - PLEASE ! SHOW some respect - One building still holds patients and you never know who (even in your own family) could end up there !!
no, the only reason people bring up silent hill is that these places and motts' pictures are "creepy." granted, i've never played it, but it's a game...just a game. and this, motts' work, is history, which is a far cry from simulated psychiatric institutions or whatever the fuck they depict in that series.
organ pipes.
I don't know why I said it.
I suffer in my mind every day
yeah you can breath but its wicked dusty
and wicked smelly?
ILL GIVE YOU $5.00 and a 6 pack of bud to sleep on that bed
I slept on one of those beds.... 1972-73. I'll just take the 6-pk of bud, u can keep the $5.
