its definately plastic there is cement in the bottom the bark comes apart like little dixie cups ive also seen them in unatural orange color in the trash .. left over from the 70s its funny how it leans to the light though .

I would agree the plant is fake notice the stem portion in the lowest row of window pane, and the fallen pieces beside them wouldn't still be the same color as the rest of the plant
