I believe this is the corridor that connects the central portion of the building to one of the large wings.

Are the cylindrical objects laid out along the hallway garbage cans or something else?
They appear to be garbage cans, but they also look a bit like the government issued supply containers for fallout shelters, that contained food, water, toiletries, etc in case of a nuclear attack. The basement had a large septic tank just for this purpose, as well as some supplies.
That really cool Motts. Did you look inside of one? Remeber to "Duck and cover!"
am i the only one kinda creeped out by the ominous black corridor ahead?
I'm with Cera on this one.
The total blackness makes it appear that the
corridor ends 40 feet away in a black void.
Does anyone else see the creature peering in ?
It's in the shadows on the wall..I'm seeing a lot of those today!
Love the texture and color Motts.
I thought they were rolled up old mattresses. I recall from Marcy State that all the fallout supplies were clearly labeled as such, drinking water, etc..
I have to agree the end of the hallway looks really dark.....I'm not sure I'd want to go that way.....we must have some light please.
just imagine......
Okay. This shot is really depressing.
I used to live in CI. My friends and I used to explore these tunnels. They were all blocked by fire doors which were locked by a master skeleton key (which we had in our posession). The darkness at the end of this tunnel is most likely from one of these doors being closed. My guess is this is the old tunnel that used to connect the men's violent ward near the old Med Surg building. Excellent shot. It sure does bring back memories.
I can't imagine having to live in a place like that! i miss my dad!
That's creepy for sure!
in 1973 when i was in high school(suffield academy), suffield ct i was there i think as a psych class trip. this was when it was an operating hospital but still very diturbing to all of us on the trip. is this possibly the place?
