the "trinity" of paintings ascending in to the light, combined with the circle of paintings wearing away at the top give me the impression of a wasting away sistine chapel- very interesting mood/conviction for a penitentiary. lovely shot.
How remarkable. For a prison it's really religious. Maybe there was hope for all those lost souls.

It looks like the frame of the sky lite once had paintings surrounding it as well. Must have been quite difficult to paint those.
