Oh my...This is such a great shot! I can imagine how quiet and "breath catching" it must have been just by looking at this.
Oh gosh this is beautiful as well as haunting!
The phrase 'Stark Beauty' is even more
appropriate here.
it's amazing how the man made structures seem to coexist with their living natural neighbors, the trees. it's as if the tomb stones are trying to grow like the trees
Where do you find these amazing places.
Wow the snow kind of adds the magic to the picture.
Absolutely spectacular!
WOW!!!
Fargin Awesome!
Possibly the best pic I've seen by far. Just... wow.

<3
DAMN I want to go see this place. I can only imagine it's beauty and serenity in summer and autumn too!

Excellent shot Motts.
Does anyone else hear the 23rd Psalm playing in their head?.....
Gorgeous! My favorite so far. I bet it's lovely in the spring.
absolutly stunning motts!
This is Breath taking. Wonderful shot Motts.
Motts,
I love cemeteries..fantastic shot
'And though I walk through the valley of death, I shall fear no evil...'

Fabulous shot :)
I like the different levels of the ground
...

Wow.
Reminds me very much of the cemetery scene in Phantom of the Opera. Fantastic shot!
It would seem that like the others, I seem to be incapable of offering anything constructive. However, I would like to express my appreciation of such a piece.
Oh my god. Wow.
One word. Beautiful! I'm glad Motts is getting into abandoned cemetery photography.
This is so gorgeous.
I have been fascinated with cemeteries for as long as I can remember. Perhaps its the must silence, or the peace of the souls that sleep in these places for eternity. It all really shows here.

You make me want winter again. & to finally get the courage to go to a cemetery and take their pictures...
i love these pictures but i dont understand why he wouldnt give the real name of the place.
i think i used to live right next to this place, it looks very familiar and there was no photography allowed even outside in the graveyard part of the property...so it's a risk besides breaking in to the chapel.
Thats' a good shot.

The winter really sets it off.

(no photographs allowed???)
i would love to go there if im ever in new jersey
thats a very beautiful place. i find hauted things very intristing. i have always lived in a house that was haunted and i have come to enjoy it as i got older. when i was younger i couldn't stand it. i almost ran away because of it. now i just say hello and move on..
:]
LONG LIVE PRISONS AND CEMETERIES!!!!
My favorite shoot so far. the markers all facing the steps that lead, where else, upwards.
I have no sarcastic or clever comments for this one. It's just bloody amazing looking. Beautiful. Enough to make one want to go to the spot where the photograph was taken and just kind of settle in and gaze about for an hour or two. Two thumbs up, man.
love this one!
Very nice
One of my favourite shots, in the most breathtaking/beautiful albums of photos ive ever seen.

Hope you oneday release a huge hardcover book with all your art, Motts :)
i go to cemetaries just to look for masonic headstones and obelisk like the one in this pic
Reminds me of that scene from Phantom of the Opera, a graveyard in snow.. what could be more silent?
I thought of the same thing as Rin did. I thought of the 2004 Phantom of the Opera cemetery scene. It's beautiful.
The snow makes everything more pristine and haunting...silence says it all.
LOL @ mel... thought of the SAME thing
Wow! Ususally cemeteries frighten me, but this is absolutely gorgeous! Great eye!
Many people fear death, but this shot makes death seem rather peaceful.

Impressive shot, Mr. Motts.
The term "Dead Calm" comes to mind with this shot
Lives .. Gone ..
Peacefully beautiful.
