Decrepitude

The old pipe organ has seen better days, but still incredibly majestic in its decay.

can anyone play Inna Godda Da Vida?
What a sad sight. You don't see many pipe organs these days. I doubt there are many around who can even play one. Does anybody out there know how to play one of theses beauties? I so I salute you.
i can kinda play a steam organ, but not one of the foot powered pipe organs
A shame to witness such grandeur fading
into forgotten decay.
My mum used to play a pipe organ at her church when she was 13. I wonder if that thing still works.
Beautiful!
There's a pipe organ at my church, been there since 1981. Still plays. Our Church Organist has done proper justice to it.
how much does this thing cost? haha
I love old pipe organs too. Like the angle and the lighting...
I do like a nice organ.....
The music is still playing, just in another plain and another place. How can anyone make it so clear than the Mott's man.
Majestic doesn't do it justice.. The lighting is perfect..
Lovely shot
Thanks, Motts for sharing your passion with us.
Motts are those light up there on the pipes.
These old Organs facinate me. and scare me too 4 sum reason!!
I just came across this site and can't tear myself away. This shot is particularly moving. Why doesn't someone step up and try to save places like this? Believe me, if I had the funds and means to, I would love to purchase a place like this. Heck, I'd move in and live in it!!
I play the organ.....definitely sad to see a historic pipe organ abandoned like this. But if you had a couple rolls of duct tape and another person with you, you just might get some sound out!!! It looks like the center tower holding some '8 pipes collapsed and the pipes scattered themselves around the gallery
Shouldn't someone play "Spirit in the sky?"
My older brother is a pipe organist.
My cousin plays several "levels" of pipe organs, I believe he said up to six keyboards. I told him that is a precious gift from our Grandmother who also played.

This tragic lady would need years of restoration work to be heard in this world again
hehe i dont mean to ruin the subject everyone is talking about but when i saw this it reminded me of the Bed that the girl has in the Haunting
WOW! You don't see this anymore!
I have a small electricpiano in my bedroom, but would'nt it be great to trade it for that! lol
