Neat shot. Look at all the detail in those chandlers. Bet that most people will never see the real details. Sort of sad when you think about it.
It's odd - this is real, but it looks like a stage set for a movie.
I AM GLAD TO SEE THAT NO ONE HAS TRASHED OR VANDELIZED THIS BEAUTIFUL BUILDING.
Ooooooh, purdy.
I don't know why but I wasn't expecting an open beam ceiling! Motts do you remember what those white things are lined up on an overhead beam?
Jude--I think you're seeing an optical illusion. I believe its just the wall showing through ornate cut outs of the beams. But I've been wrong before. ;)

This is absolutely breathtaking. I kind of want to freeze this in time and then defrost it when I get married, and have my wedding here, as is. Sometimes I wish we live in a black/white world. hmmmmm.
I love the lights, beautiful :)
It just amazes me that this site hasn't been raped and ravaged by the predators and the scum that can't see the beauty of it all. Thanks Motts for being a wonderful human being.
Beautiful black and white.. breathless..
I don't know why, but this shot really makes me sad...

Beautiful, but so solemn and bleak.
How awsome! What a treasure!!
seems like the place is waiting for some one to use it again
Oh please oh please someone restore this before it is lost to the past!!!
Looks like two robes people in the isle carrying a coffin!
I think it looks brilliant. The fact that it looks like it is out of a movie makes it that much cooler!
I agree, toss it in the freezer and defrost it for something lovely, a wonderful medival wedding!

Besides.. who could go wrong with all those hanging soap dispensers!? :P
Love those high vaulted ceilings.

Jude and Angela, are you talking about the "stingers" attached to the chandlers?
Hey, who can we contact to fight to save this gracious lady from being lost?
"Love those high vaulted ceilings. "

except after C :-)
The chapel is gorgeous. They should continue using it.
