very nice!
It always surprises me that they put so much detail into the place that few people will ever see. (It's all about the details I guess.)
it's sad that we've stopped building ornate buildings
And what's the likelihood that a structure
built nowadays will have similar decorations?

Makes me sick that we're losing so much
of this beautiful construction.
Beautiful!
What Sked said, I'm 2nd-3rd-agreeing too.
I agree, it's so sad to see all the beauty in old buildings disappearing. Excellent shot Motts!
Are they Elder Scrolls? (sorry i'm a gamer) :)
Very pretty, nice shot Motts
I wish they made more lovely buildings with fine detail work nowadays... too much of the same thing is liable to drive anyone over the edge. We need variety, dammit!

Great shot!
It looks like there was something in the center at one point. But it broke off. Maybe it was a vase or potted plant or marble torch.
The architecture is simply amazing, unfortunately in our age they put more emphasis on getting a building up quickly instead of beautiffuly.
Very neat shot .
Daaaang
I wish I could have salvaged that before the place went down. Its too beautiful to destroy
hey EV1nut......the sterling hotel is still there....i would know because i see it everyday. and i would say that the scrolls really are beautiful...they just complete the whole building
: )
I wonder if there was an urn atop the base between the two scrolls??? The bricks to the left are definitely in need of repointing. Very nice symmetricality
