hmmmm how much is this place to stay here? I think I will try somewhere else
So this is what a Motel 6 looks like!
Good God!
It looks as if every surface and material in here
is teeming with mold and fungus. BLECH!
What's that on the ceiling?
It's...it's..a soap dispenser!!
Where the Wild Things Are!
yuck lol
Looks like the super 8 I stayed at last week. Scretched that one off my list....:)~
yikes!!
now this is where I would expect to see Freddie or Jason hanging out... lol
Reminds me of a house I had to demolish in southern Mississippi a couple years ago...
is that a green rug or just a lot of mold?
Woah...makes me heave just looking at it!
I think i'd rather sleep outside.
the only monsters are the ones who let something once so grand fall into such a state of neglect and disrepair
Awesome find Motts!!!
i agree joy 1, these beautiful old buildings have gone to waste. i absolutely adore them.
ARRRRGH DESEASE !!
That room makes me want to barf just looking at it. I can only imagine what it smelled liked.
That reminds me... spring cleaning... gotta do spring cleaning...

Excellent shot, vary gross atmosphere!
Awesome shot Motts. Looks like the monster mash, or monster bash, was here.
You are looking at a picture of my old room. I drew the picture of "Max" from "Wild Things" on the wall. I was officially the last resident of the Sterling Hotel - at least legally. I lived there for several months after it closed down. It was quite an adventure, I had a 100 room apartment.
Well Mr. Motts, if nothing else you did get a shot of a chair in that mess.
Look over to the right; there's your chair!!
hahaa . i love the little dude on the backwall .
(:
A little water damage ,but the Chandler is still hanging.
Where the ceiling meets the floor. Its like walking on clouds
the drawing on the wall is from a childrens book called "where the wild things are"
I don't think even the Mosters would want to stay there either.........Yuck!!!!!!!!!
i think it's such a shame they let the sterling turn into that....something once so beautiful into a mess. maybe they should go and clean it......the people here in wilkes-barre better never ever demolish that building....i'd miss passing it everyday and just wanting to go back in the day to see it
It's neat that the light fixture is still suspended from the ceiling amidst all that chaos.
