sorry....this one scares the crap out of me. Expecting to see Freddie or Jason running down the hall trying to kill me!
This was a hotel? It looks like coridors in the State Hospitals
Awesome place to shoot a movie. Steven Kings movie 1408 comes to mind.
Looks more like the Overlook Hotel, from
'The Shining' about 75 years later.
Couldn't help it but did something to it. Enjoy.

Enjoy those two creepy little girls? Thanks for the nightmares! ;-)
REDRUM!!!!!!
All I can think of is Silent Hill lol

Awesome pic!
Chill factor, big time.

Awesome shot, Motts!
cool pic motts, love what you did too, hallucinator!
Looks like one of the old asylums with a drop-ceiling installed.
I'd about pee myself if I came across a hallway like this and the lights were already on...
Very dramatic!
No one was there? Cool shot there...
Hallucinator that was awesome :) great shot Motts!
Holy potatoes Hallucinator!
I wasn't expecting that!
Why would the lights be on? You'd think the state would've had the power cut off from there. And nice job with the picture Hallucinator.
Very Funny Hallucinator, i thought the same thing.
Great "creepy" shot!
very cool hallucinator
It looks like a Japanese munitions bunker in northeast China during the War. The Japanese occupationists built numerous bunkers because the Communist resistance are famous for relying on massed artillery strikes to obliterate distant enemy targets. The Japanese thought bunkers would keep them safe. Well, not really, when shells are fired at such a position that they ascend to the sky, then comes down in a completely vertical path.
It looks kind of creepy, yes it looks more like a hospital than hotel
omg this one is so creepy!!

I actually get a sense of fear looking at this photo. I love how you capture emotions in your photos.
stunning. wounderfull texture!
I suddenly want to replay Silent Hill 2.... Great shot, though... I'm surprised the electricity still worked!

...or did it?
Erm, wow, I just noticed the bulbs VERSUS the dead lights along the hall... Cripes, I'm overworked! >.<"""
Reminds me of the commercial for Motel 8 " We'll keep the lights on for ya ".
you should have used the power there to mooch off of the cities power and charge your phones and batteries and other things :)
Just as I began really looking at this shot, an ant decided to crawl along my elbow. Combined, an ant and this hallway are terribly chilling.
I think I'm in love
How is it possible that the lights still work? How long does a lightbulb last, anyways? I can't imagine they would still work after, say, 5 years continiously burning...? Anyone?
Almost seems as though the building wants you out.
The walls remind me of that movie Silent Hill.
Good shot.
But i kind of creeps me out!
Very creepy! So how long do you stay in these places? Hours or Days? Have you ever spent the night at any of the locations?
Usually a few hours, although I've spent quite a few nights inside these places.
you must have a strong constitution to stay the night! btw, waverly hills in louisville, KY has been sold and will be turned into a hotel.
Oooohhh lightsssss
Why in the world are the lights still on?
Awsome photo! How creepy but so real
creepy, but amazing. Wasn't expecting the 2 girls in Hallucinator's post. scared the crap out me.
Yeah I must say this picture does creep me out some...I can't believe there are lights on period. Strange really. Cue the 'Halloween' music theme please someone. I'd be afraid someone would come out of one of those doors any minute and like scare me to death......what did you say about Waverly Hills, the queen. I thought some lady owned it? So it was sold?? Interesting thats for sure........More info if you have it please.....
definetely a great place to visit. :D
its sad that they let the Sterling Hotel fall like that. the city of wilkes-barre should go and fix up the Sterling Hotel instead of sitting around all day. and yea i'm making fun of wilkes-barre but i live here so oh well, everyone can have their opinions....but they do just sit around because so many things here need to be fixed and fixed up and they still have yet to do anything that they said that they would.
I am pretty sure the building is electrified with lights because developers and contractors tour this building occasionally.
Dun dun dun...
How/why are thses lights on? So different from the rest of the building. Very creeeepy!
i can't believe there's still power fed to functioning light bulbs.
It is a lot creepier in person.
Looks like some place a bunch of junkies would end up! Not exactly haunted with ghosts, but haunted with the dreams of what could have been...
hey, turn those lights off your wasting money!
Hospital-type institutions do not have carpet (or remains of it) in the halls. BTW, don't know how many people are aware that Waverly Hills is being renovated enough for safety and they keep it for the ghost hunt tours.
