Motts When did this place Closed Down.
I'm not sure when people stopped visiting these underground tombs; I believe they are accessible from the top these days. Whenever it was, it was after plastic flowers were widely available...
Those look positively ancient, and that's no exaggeration. Like ancient Egypt--but I know this building isn't THAT old. ;)
It's starting to look like this set is from an archaeological dig. Those objects appear incredibly ancient.
"so take the photographs and still frames in your mind, hang it on a shelf of good health and good time"

makes that pop into my head
You know, if I could teleport I'd definitely stop by here...
Nice shot. REALLY nice...
I WONDER IF THERE IS STILL THE SMELL OF DEATH STILL LINGERS?
Where I live, this place would have to be guarded to keep the crypts from being vandalized for jewelry to buy drugs. Many people were and still are entombed with their favorite pieces of jewelry. So much has changed above since most of these people were entombed. What will this place look like in 50 years?
is that apicture ? eeeeek
Beautiful
nice set-up
Beautiful photo, really love the B & W.

I don't understand why or even how you abandon a cemetary. This is so sad and you Mr. Motts have beautifully captured that saddness in your photos.
I'm glad you have a "touch nothing, move nothing, take nothing". Some might be tempted to take some souvenirs. Beautiful shot.
yea, i here that, larry. i went to an abandoned hospital with my dad last week and he wanted to take a couple glass tiles for an accent wall in his kitchen lol, i was like "naw, man. can't do it. lol
