this is so awesome!! wow just wow!!
Lonely folding chair.
Amazing shot. Wouldn't be anywhere near as effective in colour, IMO.
Great composition. (I hope I'm using that word correctly.) I find these places have a creepy kind of beauty...the "creepy" bit comes from my own imagination.
Motts this place looks creepy to walk around. Absolutely love this wonderful site Motts.
Where there is a lonely chair, there will also be Mr. Motts to capture it for the rest of us to be alone with!

fantastic m'dear, you never fail to bring us superb pictures!
one day dear motts please explain the fascination with chairs
creepy but very interesting
did you actually discover the chair in that shaft of light? (I have to confess to sometimes "posing" my inanimate subjects for greater effect)
It was in that position when I arrived in this corridor; I'm sure it was placed there by someone for the effect.
possibly my all time lonely chair picture. good show!!!
How do you always manage to find a lonely chair .....in an old CRYPT?!?! : )
One of your best lonely chair shots yet!
Gotta have that lone-chair shot! ;-)

Seriously though, that shot's got class. Well done.
Nice chair shot Motts....it does look creepy down there in this photo anyway......
It makes me think of someone sitting alone mourning the loss of a loved one with mixed feelings - I can picture someone sitting there quietly - It's almost like I'm that person - the sir-realism is coffee to me :) Good job guys or guy :) or guys:)
Waiting for someone to sit by the crypt of a departed one......

Great creepy pic!

Haunting, but beautiful
I wish oregon had places like these.
I'd like to think there was someone sitting there not long ago... perhaps someone was sitting there when the shot was taken :P

Very classic, very Motts
REMINDS ME OF PHANTASM THE MOVIE
I can imagine an old man sitting in that chair visiting with his young wife or girlfriend whom he had lost many years before. I love all your work, Motts, especially the Cemetery stuff. Thanks..
I too could picture someone there mourning their loss. Head down, staring blankly at the floor...sometimes I think this is what the inside of my head must look like, a lotta dim with a little beacon of light....
I don't know what it is about this shot but it makes me sad. As if someone had sat next to the tomb, lamenting the things they never got a chance to say to their loved one.
I'm beginning to think these lone chairs are just waiting for you to come along & give them the spotlight!
Cyrus- Maybe someone is there now...
can't really put into words the feelings, perceptions, emotions this evokes
This looks like the sort of chair that has an unnatural weight to it, like it wouldn't move from that particular spot no matter how hard you tried...
Is it time for stand up comedy
Lonely chair in mourning.
Was this apart of where the tombs where?
Was someone sitting here while talking to there dearly departed loved one?
Did some one spend so much time her ethey brought a chair and was surounded by the smell decaying flesh and mold to be close to the person they miss and love?
Are you serious?! You actually found a lone chair. I think this is proof that there is a lone chair everywhere.
maybe a loved one sitting there to keep him/her company
