Another common room... unfortunately most rooms had been locked so I don't have many photos from here.

We were traversing the rooms with great care to make sure the heavy doors would not latch shut behind us.

I was thinking the same thing about the carpeting. They must have installed if just before the place closed like they were going to reuse this building for something else. Was this building torn down too?

Looks like part of the vent. I'm astounded by how well-preserved this is. The carpet is still in prime shape and that's usually the first to go.

You should have super glued the chairs and desks to the ceiling that way when other explorers come, they would get creeped out

(also be sure to but evil signs on the walls)

just kidding

the place seems to be in pretty good condition for something that closed in 1991

The state hospital proper was closed in 1991, however these buildings in the back were used by the Center for Forensic Psychiatry in the early 2000s.

I was by the property today and from what I could see Toyota has a huge brand new complex that probably covers a square mile. I don't know but I doubt any of these buildings are still standing. The forensic psychiatry is in a newer looking building a mile or two down the road near the prison. What a diverse area. I wish I could have seen it.
Does anyone know if Toyota is experiencing any paranromal activity?
Or if they built over some tunnels or bunkers or anything?
