Twisted Table

Twisted Table

I'm unsure of the exact use of these long tables in the kitchens.

they're serving tables. there was probably some sort of sneeze-guard set up between the posts, and the hole at the end is for drainage.
what is hanging from the ceiling?
An outer sleeve of asbestos from a pipe in the ceiling.
is this table turned upsidedown?
Do you guys notice that hooded figure on the left....creepy
It's a person with long dark hair in a tank top, long shorts, socks, and sneakers or leather shoes/boots. Looks like there is something in the middle of his shirt.
I do believe that's Radical Ed!
So what's on his shirt?
I can barely make out the shadow of me. I wouldn't have ever noticed. How did you glean all of that info from such a dark pic? Did you just see the other pic of me and my "provisions" and take a great guess? Damn, that's scary...
Lynne is very observant!

Go Lynne, Go Lynne!

but yeah that is a scary looking dude. :)~
I think it looks like Radical Ed, but what do i know
teehee, i guessed it was Radical Ed before i read the other comments. I think ive been hanging out here too much :-O
i work in a nursing home, and we have a "line" in which we have food that gets put on trays to take to residents that are bed ridden or in a smaller dining room. it may have been used as a tray line for patients not allowed to leave their rooms. i've been in that room, and i believe that there were trays lying all over the place. maybe for that purpose? i'm totally guessing here.
It stinks in that room when you first walk in
It stinks in that room due to the fact that the person in front of you cut the cheese!
Anyone but me getting strange shades of Alice In Wonderland?
Never thought of it that way, but yeah it does remind me of the tea scene...now that I can see the Mad Hatter sitting there pouring Alice some tea... Nice reference, Talon!

"A very happy unbirthday to you!"
But instead of the Mad Hatter & the March Hare you'll have to settle for Radical Ed in the background pouring his beer.
Lynne,

I'm totally ok with that scenario...as long as he shares! :0) LoL! I guess I can just bring my own margaritas and I will share! LoL!
this table was actually the loading counter for the dishwasher, the table is upside down, the hole in it was for scraping the dishes, a trash can would have been under it. Believe me I have done dishwashing for many years.
i say it's the ghost. I know its a ghost
preparation tables for food BEFORE cooking, to ensure drainage. Obviously no one else here has spent any time on KP in theMilitary.
from the website Joe listed, here's a picture of what this table may have been (sorry, its long)
