I love the shadows from the low light, it almost looks like fog.

Very nice perspective, I love this shot!
Dammit!! Hows he do that?
Was that a flat wall behind the stage? It looks angled in the previous photo - is that just shadows?
Very nice shot! I really like the soft lighting how did you do it Motts?

Also I have to ask for a wallpaper of this shot.
Motts, were the holes in the ceiling going through to the outside? It looks like a little light coming through, but the normal piles of rubble aren't present. In most of your pics when there is a hole to the outside there is a neat pile of debris under it. Thanks for the new pics!
Yes, you could see the sky through some of the holes. The floor might have been swept, especially if the floor tiles contained asbestos and needed to be removed (which would explain why the seats are missing).
wow that door on the left side of the stage really puts this place into perspective i thought it was MUCH smaller before i noticed the door
I love this, the little door reminds me of wiily wonkas, right before they go into the chocolate room!
great shadows!
Such a sense of movement or the room having been wind swept. Amazing photo...
I have to ask what motts used to obtain the angle for this shot. It looks as though there's nothing supportive in the room to stand on and yet the angle looks like it was taken from high in the back looking downward towards the stage and door at stage left.
There was an upper mezzanine or balcony up there, with a door to the projection room. It was connected to the third floor of the hospital, with the lower part of the theater connected to the first floor.
So who was the main act...the lobotomy choir?
I love the shadows and light!
Enter stage left...

What a neat perspective this is. :)
Is this place still standing??
No, it was demolished for a Toyota research facility in 2006.
