I'd be awful intimidated facing such an amazing structure.

Great shot, Motts. Simply fantastic.
Cripes, life on the inside musta been rough, too...
doors wide open
Wow! Definitely imposing.
you know, I'm 20 minutes from york and never knew about this place.... i may have to do some recon work, hehe
I agree with Barbara on this one.
Looks like my high school and Mel's description fits perfectly :'D
I'd be very scared to live in there.
wow, i´m making some 3d scenes like this, and i can tell this is what i want to make, this is a invaluable resource, you are great!
I have lived my whole life in York PA with random trips courtesy of the US Army. Your website has always been an inspiration for urban exploration and this taste or home made it all the more real. Thank you for reinvigorating my desire to explore the dead and dying places of the world. This is the best site I have found... PERIOD!!!
Recently joined ghost hunting group. Does anyone know who to contact to set up an investigation?
This reminds me so much of Azkaban from Harry Potter. Very ghastly looking.
I remember driving by in the early 70's and seeing the inmates in the yard. (I was about 17) That building definitely made you want to never be in trouble. The new prison ... not so threatening. Prisons that look like this should come back to punish those who commit crimes against other people - and to help scare the young to go straight!.
it reminds me of 1984 or V for vendetta
Not so scary when it was open for business.
