Hideous looking.
Well, that's a little unsettling, wouldn't you say?
that is very fricken creepy
eeeeeeeegghhhh...
What is it?

Im seeing what looks like a skull but is not when viewed more thoroughly
what would look real neat if it was in pitch black with light coming out of it.
Jeepers! Thats freaky...
Thats really creepy!
It kinda looks like the head to an old Teddy Ruxpin
It's a soap dispenser !
it looks like the remnants of an old clown doll head.
DEAD SILENCE PT. 2
Gag-Zooks!!! This place is awesome!!!!!

I love creepy stuff like this every shot seems to be more creepy then the next.
Where did the nose come from? definitely not human
Good old fashioned nightmare fuel.
I think it's a broken Teddy Ruxpin-type of animatronic doll. Or a ventriloquist's dummy...which is creepy in and of itself.
I was thinking the ventriloquist dummy, missing the moving part of it's mouth ~
Unca Tony! What does this remind you of? Hee hee
Purtysouthern--Geez!! Yep. I agree. Those Teddy Ruxpin things were horrible!!. Guess I'm just not into dolls that move/talk. It's just not RIGHT!! (shudder)....Dolls alone (especially clown dolls) are bad enough!!!
gator, i hope thats a soap dispenser, anything else i come up with is just to creepy! good thing i like creepy :)
What you do now is you plant 'Hen And Chicks' in there./(you gardeners out there know what I mean)
Probably something similar to a Teddy Ruxpin, though I can say without a doubt it isn't. The 'muzzle' is all wrong for that toy.

Teddy Ruxpin,eh, he talked too much and something had to be done..........
Ha! Soap dispenser! LOL!
This is a very "death of chidhood" photo. It appears to be an old clown dummy head that had a flocked face and 5 o'clock shadow. Didn't they just state today that universally most kids hate or are afraid of clowns? I bet the square on the forehead was for controls to move the eyebrows.
I just read the "hens and chickens" comment, that ran through my mind as well! What a creepy planter it would make!
No, that is most certainly not a soap dispenser. My exact words while try desperately not to shoot Cream of Chicken soup out of my nose... "HOLY SH*T!!!!"
Jude, I am too tired to try to guess.....I'll have to try again tomorrow.
Hoping I don't dream of this I definitely don't want to see that in my dreams. That is ugh !! *shivers*
Thats not teddy ruxpin. I still have one and his nose was part of the moving mouth. Not attached to the head like this one.
Wow... O_O
*shivers and walks away*
Now that is just creepy
that is so cool i what to cry baby home
in pa
*runs and hides* wtf is that?! it looks like a dolls head gone very VERY wrong! but almost sad looking
It looks like the head of a flocked rabbit. Rather cartoony, don't you think?
That was kind of a shock.
That's vile.
I must say, Chucky is finally dead.. Marvelous shot..
was it in the same area as the prone gurney? if so i'd say it was the head of a doll or dummy...when you think of the prone gurney that looked too small i wonder if this was a children's ward? perhaps?
sort of reminds me of one of my ex-husbands
that looks like the kind of doll that would be even creepier whole
Looks like a teddy that went through hell!!
Word to the wise, don't stare at this picture when the rest of the house is dark and you're home alone...trust me.
It's the remains of a ventriliqusts doll, used in theropy with kids
it looks like a gigantic Pez dispencer .
(:
...your photographer "done good"
Frightening, harrowing, disturbing, scary....
all apply
Mark my words-credit where credit is due....
2008 Best photo.
The first thing I thought of when I saw this was "a rabbit", though it could have been a bear or a cat...anything. A soap dispenser though? That was funny.
Are those paint chips surrounding it from the doll? I didn't notice them at first.
mhh it looks like the Mask of Hannibal Lector ;)
But his mask was made from steel.
My god, it looks like the severed head of a grotesque cartoon dog.
It reminds me of the dude from Saw and it kinda reminds me of a clown......clowns really scare me....it wuz freaky!!!!!!!
i wish it was a soap dispenser. :(
To me , it seems to be a very old bunny type child's mask . Either that or a clown . Notice the small curly locks of what seems to be hair . That's a very unsettling picture .
its a money box
I'm thinking it's a broken head off of a really old Alvin and the Chipmunks toy/marionette type of thing.......... very similar facial structure to the Chipmunks:

http://upload.wikimedi...vinchipmunks1983.jpg
That is NOT a human skull. So the question is...what IS it?
it's worrying. veeeery worrying.
Very evocative of many emotions all at once, but the main reaction is "Oh S***!" :-)
The alvin chipmunk comment seems like the best bet.can you imagine walking up on that in the dark with just a small flashlight?GREAT PIC!!!
Went back to pic,and decided that I don't think I'd want to play with that even if it was new,and I was thirty years younger!
Coulrophobics unite in Opacity!
It's "Gabby Bear." Google image it.
You are right, ash. And it IS more hideous new!!!! What a maniacal face. Clearly the one above made the wrong in-patient angry.
Wonderfuly creepy!
Fantastic locations and photos.
looks like a dog mask or something.

hobos gotta have fun too
what in the world is that
Can anyone say Bioshock? Scary!! Love your photography, just found it all today!

Was it a piggy bank there's a slot on its forehead perfect for coins
When "Marrionettes attack!"
Okay. Now that's just plain @%^*in' creepy.
Damn creepy?
Wonder who left the puppet there?
well that just creeped me out!!
It must of been a doll.. ._.
That's.. So unsettling. Creepy as hell.
creepy as hell, i think i would have left right after that!
I think it's a rabbit
Holy hell, that's unsettling in an extreme way. ::shiver::

Positively Lynchian. Keep it up.

the curiosity is overwhelming.
I couldn't find a talking gabby bear on yahoo -
Something the doctors/staff made to entertain the paient?
OMG now this is my first comment. Gratz Mr. Motts on finding something to get me shaking. This photo is so wicked scary!!!
Disintegrating little dolly...
XP OMG WT what on earth is that??/ It looks like a chipmink skull...YUCK!!!
Oops I meant chipmunk
how......charming?.......
I just don't know. Did a Google image search for all the suggestions, Gabby Bear, Teddy Ruxpin, Alvin/Chipmunks doll, and there is nothing that I came across that I could confidently say is a match. The slot in the forehead is strange -- I have no clue as to what purpose it served and I have never seen a toy with that kind of thing in the forehead. The mouth suggests some kind of ventriloquist item and the hair that remains on the face as well as the nose indicate an animal character.

Maybe is was a rare proto-type.
I'm surprised no one had pointed out the velvety fuzzy type shiz that's still on it. None of the other suggested toys had any texture like it... I'm guessing it was a puppet of the sorts? The slot of the forehead could have held some accessory in place back in the toys heyday... maybe like a hat or something?
No matter what toy it is, why is the now exposed "skull" exactly the same color and texture as an actual real-bone specimen? Maybe the skin that once covered this frame was equally, and oddly, just as realistic. If so, it's intended purpose could only be mimicry of horrors unimaginable, which were played out to countless audiences of one, in puppet shows no one should have had to attend; Evil was the star of this show and Evil pulled the trigger that moved the mouth but the art of ventriliquism was a craft mastered by the wide-eyed spectators, which is evident by the screams heard among these walls, voices thrown long ago yet still audible if you listen closely. If this head finds its jaw, "Encore!" is the word it would say, the last word Evil had intended to come from the dolls mouth, silenced abruptly by the hospitals closure and the twisted practices that were never to be spoken of again.
