A large room had become a wheelchair graveyard - a place for equipment that was too costly to repair or out of date.

Now see, I never like sitting on anything like that without first alcoholing-it down.
And the rare time I was in one 20 yrs. ago after stepping on something on Memorial Day, I reached down to operate the inner hand wheel and, SURE ENOUGH!- something sticky!

The Changeling, starring George C. Scott, 1979. One of the scariest movies ever made. To this day I can't look at an antique wheel chair without thinking of that movie.
