But- why does that look so threatening?
Look Good or else!

(Ok, Ok, I'm gettin pretty. Gimme a moment, I've gotta put my face on.)
I wonder who wrote that?
If you dont look good, we dont look good - Vidal Sasson
Hmmm, a couple friends of mine who are depressive have signs like this in their home. Hopefully it helps, they say it does.
"Looks fade... but a feeling lasts foever."
So let's eat beans for every meal! Oops, wrong song.
whats on the other side?
Heh, heh heh.
very interesting

kinda random tho
We have the same signs at my facility.
haha .
once again i love this .
Maybe it was a precaution like, if a state official comes to inspect things they don't want the patients to look ratty and unkept. Of couse just because they look good on the outside doesn't make them look better on the inside.
They've known for a long time that if you take care of your personal hygiene, you feel better, but i had no idea they would actually have this written in a facility
Makes me sad, this.
looks like what we had written at state while I was there..
That's just a wee bit intimidating, and creepy for some ungodly reason. It strikes me as a "Look good, or else!" sort of situation.
Go out to your nearest street corner in any large town /city and you will see the crazies. Take a look at them and you will understand the meaning.
I think this could have been one of the patients with a depression problem, being a bit ironic. Looking awful might have made them feel bad. Maybe they were trying to tell themselves that looking would make them happier. In the same way someone would say that skinny people are always happy and confident and being fat is never good. I'm just making presumptions, 'cause for some reason I don't think the hospital management but that on there with a pen, in an untidy manner.
The scrawled writing makes it look creepy...maybe that's the irony, the advice itself is written in a creepy looking way. I'd give the inverse more credit-a depressed person is less motivated to care about appearance but someone feeling better takes more pride in looking good.
eating disorder patient... maybe. Personally i think its bs, i've looked great and felt like crap.
yeAH, what's up with this scrawl font all this stuff was written in? Was all this written after the fact, or did some orderly really think scrawling things derangedly on the wall was going to boost morale in the place? It is strange, like the boy and dog. Dissonance from seeing them and seeing the place in dissarray i guess. The photo contradicts the sentiment. Or maybe it proves it.
