Great shot.
THAT is old school, neat!
I wonder where that came from. It must weigh a ton
why would you need this here?
I think alot of these places had shops for patients, I know there was one in Cane Hill, England. Where patients could buy cigarettes, sweets, magazines and all sorts of day to day things.
"Cha-Ching"

Was there any money in it? even a penny?

I already know the answer but I have to ask.
I love the sound of those old cash machines. Ka-ching, ka-ching!
$98.48? In the 1960's? What the heck was he buying?
i have that same machine, i use it as a jewlery box.
I'm gonna say it again ; Ka-Ching- NO SALE!
$98.48 sounds like possibly the end of day receipts from all sales? or the last person in was playing with it and decided they liked those #s.
Museum could take that thing!
98.48 is probably the price of the mouldy suits! :P
Weak! I love this picture. Its truly PRICEless. LOVE IT.
THAT IS SUCH A COLL CASH REGISTER
I'll hazard a guess that $96.48 was the total of all sales (the "Z" total, if you're old-school retail) from the last time the cash reregister was cleared on its last day of use.
I Love old Cash Registers like this!! Wicked!!
Whwn I was 5-7 yrs. old I played with a register exactly like this one at my grandads house. It would occupy all my time. Thanks for the memories!!!
That's fantastic, I have a soft spot for old registers
I can remember those as a kid in the 60's and 70's.
it looks like it says 'fear' in the register thing.
i thought it was an old gas pump..lol
Um .............. where would this have been - company cafeteria?
I was exploring a junk yard in the 70s. It was just after all the stores had switched from these mechanical cash registers to the electronic kind. There several were small mountains of these machines waiting to be scrapped. I did take pictures but i have no idea what happened to them. Possible my parents may still have them.
Awesome. I want this.
