THE POWER OF RADICAL ED COMPELS YOU !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
hey ed like your overkill T-shirt thats what IT looks to me looking at this picture hail satan 666
Thanks for the comp dude. It's a 1986 Feel the Fire tour shirt.
Yes! That's when they toured with Slayer!!!! Does anyone remember the one Halloween show where, as Slayer was playing, Overkill came out in sheets and danced around "haunting" Slayer? By the way, Radical Ed, it looks as though you're walking into the Abyss of No Return. I'm assuming you all brought lots of batteries for flashlights...
"Into the fiery abyss of HELL!!!" Actually, I bring at least eight spare batteries and at least four flashlights *just-in-case*. Plus a six-pack of course... I remember Overkill closing down the Troc here in Philly because the sprinkler system was ripped from the ceiling and flooded the place out!
Hi Ed!

You're hot! Let's meet sometime..... hehe

Love ya baby....
hey ed, is that a walmart bag your carrying? teehee
Why yes, and it's full of BEER!
hey radical ed, i went to the site you posted in Motts guest book, thanks for posting it.
The story of Anna (not the one above) is a heart-breaker. Anyone who views these photos on this site should read it. Thanks for the thanks.
I just read Anna's story and I dont have any words to explain my feelings. It is horrible that such a beautiful talented person like Anna slipped through the cracks and died a lonely death. Her life was poetic and I hope her death set her free into the happiness that she always wanted.
Anyone else that wants to read the story of girl who Closed Down Byberry should go to to the website that memorializes her story.
It can be found here: http://www.annafoundation.org/Int-yrs-1.html
Just keep hitting the *NEXT* block at the bottom of each "page" for the whole story.
Keep a box of Puffs handy...
RadicalEd, Thanks so much for posting that link.
I read the entire web site, her talent was totally amazing and her life was totally tragic!
It really puts things into prespective when you think you have it bad and then read a story like Anna's........
She probably will never know that her coming forward helped so many others form a similar fate as hers......
First off love the pics but the beer? What the heck? There is no need to be drinking... is there? Now maybe it's just me, and I lost 6 friend to a drunk driver but anyways... lose the beer for your safty and others.
Anyways love the pics on this site.
ok there nicole.. maybe u need to get some things straight in your mind... there aint nothihg wrong with drinking some beer... its sad and all that u lost some friends to a drunk driver but does that mean beer should be outlawed??? i dont think so. people jsut need not get behind the wheel while drunk... aint nuttin with a little drinkin an explorin... and RADICAL ED IS THE MAN by the way
Yo! Rock on Ed! ;-)
Rocking on as commanded!
Yeeee-haww!!!
We need one more massively long daytime trip before shit starts hitting the fan....if it already hasnt.
Shit hitting the fan? Nothing new on the property thus far. No construction equipment, no nailing up of entrances, no new security....
Do you know something I don't Chip?
The land in front of N8 and N9 had been bulldozed. Only the trees remain.

Hearsay, not first hand knowledge.
radical ed, i interviewed overkill, did a show review for a local rag, shot a few photos, attended a few parties, etc. when i was still in the business MANY years ago (someone actually stole their scrim from the stage, MAN, were they PISSED!!!). crazy bunch, lol. thanks for the memories. :)
~angel~
I think this pic should be named "Drew and Radical Ed and Ed's provisions"
Poor Drew.
does any one know any websites that have underground video footage of byberry ?
That reminds me - happy belated birthday, Radical Ed!
Your birthday R.E.? Enjoy a six pack for me, and have a good one! When the heck was it, by the way?
Happy belated b'day, R.E., hope you enjoyed it at the 'Berry
Happy Birthday Radical Ed!!!!
Thank you one and all!
Now where'd that Coors go...
Hey Russell, go to no-trespassing.net for some Byberry film footage and some great pics from local-area abandonments.
I don't have it, I swear!!!!
hey radical ed thanks for posting that website great help to me . the guys who video tape byberry should have played that metallica song welcome home (sanitarium) instead playing that other song in the backround.they should have played some trash metal or death metal in the back round. thanks again for posting that site .
Not to stir anything up, but wasn't no-trespassing.net the center of some big fiasco because they had photos of themselves standing in front of a blazing fire in Pennhurst? The site looks familiar, not sure if it was them or not.
Yeah Motts, you got the story right. I talked with them about this on a serious level and they've all agreed that "fires are bad, mmmm-kay?"
The fire pics were all deleted and apologies were made all around. The owner of the site is a really good guy and they won't be doing stuff like that any longer.
huh i didnt know theres anothe "Chip" here. just im the "Chip" who wrote the newer posts since november when i found this great site. im gonna change the nic to "Chipy" to avoid an collusion with the original "Chip". =D
Ed, Thanks for hittin my guest book on Classy-Media. The answer is yes, but I don't have your e-mail addy.

Drop me a line.

PS: Sorry Motts, he is hard to track down! lol
Thrash Metal! R. I. P.

np: Overkill - Hello From The Gutter
Damn I didn't know you looked so kick-ass, Ed!
Yeah, fires ARE bad. So is Co2 poisoning. Not kool--almost died.
Though I always say fires, killing, cigs, and beer are awesome, I think the opposite. I only said it was cool cuz I am a MegaTokyo fan. LARGO ROX!
*ahem* Anyway, harmless fun= GOOD, killing, fires, etc. =BAD.
so you're ed are you the one who draws them skulls heads with wings
The skull with bat wings is a logo for the thrash band "Overkill".
The dude that draws them is a Byberry regular named "Blitz", after the Overkill vocalist.
Hey are you friends with GODDOG and ~ME
yo RADICAL ED do you know the offical date that byberry no longer had patients or doctors I knowthat it was some time in june, but would you happen to know the date ?
Radical Ed,
What building was this picture taken in.
Also, how do you identify the buildings?
For geat maps go to Goddog's terrific site found here: http://theduke81.tripod.com/id9.html
Radical ED!! you were right on the money about the ANNA story. I can't beleive the way her treatment was handled..It seemed like they were more concerned with just locking her away then treating what was wrong with her. PTSD is a very common condition that can be controlled with a combination of the right meds and therapy...very saddening... :( by the way I left you a message about 2 weeks ago on your AM..you still live across from the berry
i dont know if yous are still reading these comments;
especially you, radical ed
but theres no other way to contact you
~me is my mother,
so that makes me 'radical ed's niece; if you will.
i just wanted to say;
uncle eddie,
you should come visit us sometime,
and for that matter, alot more often
and i also wanted to say
thank you for the buttons
from me and my mom both.

i hope you get this
has anybody actually seen photos of patients at byberry
if you search some links i believe on god dogs site you can see some old pictures of staff and patients on the grounds of the hospital.
thanks
This photograph has a homeless look to it.

Signed: An American Soldier stationed in Germany.
WHOW THE HECK IS FEEL THE FIRE?
its to bad the no-trespassing.net site is gone I would have liked to see the vid's.

Thanks for posting these pic's.
