At first glance I'd obviously think those were mirrors but when I look harder I wonder if they were actually windows?

Great shot, I really like the warm glow in the doorway.

Yours is a sharp eye, Jude!

Looking closely at the wall tiles, you can make out the fact that they were placed to frame openings.
I thought they were polished steel, though a closer look at the nearest one looks as though something's peeling off the opposite side.

i havent figured out why yet, but it disturbs me, wich just makes it more interesting. Mr motts, i do love that about your work, it always makes you " feel" something about what your looking at.

I think the nearest mirror/polished steel/whatever is just reflecting the peeling on the wall opposite it, not peeling itself. It's intriguing to think of them as two-way mirrors, though, but I've got no basis for that, just a wild imagination. :)

one must wonder why the very small spouts for the water...its not like they stick out from the backsplash very far it would be very hard to get ones hands under them to wash really well, possibly the sinks had another purpose besides hand washing?

All of those sinks just sitting there...I live in a house with one bathroom and seven people. Those are creepy those, I'll stick with mine.

If you look to the right near the door it looks like the outline of a man standing there. You could picture a nurse saying 'right you have 5 mins' and standing and watching! weird!

Not sure if its of any relevance, but the 2nd rom nearest sink has no taps, or whatever it is the rest have, and the bit in the middle is missing as if they were removed.

Stacy...Soap dispensers could be ripped off the wall and used as a weapon. It sounds stupid but the people in these places could become very violent. A soap dispencer thrown at your head could hurt a nurse very seriously.

I would be deathly afraid of mirrors trekking around in places like this. I have a small phobia of mirrors. The one photo from Dadipark in the fun house sent me into shivers....
