What are the half walls for?
Dividers, usually to section off areas of a day room or dormitory.
Im not sure I like the colors on the walls. Is this supposed to make patients feel better?
makes you wonder why they put curtains in places like this. I would be afraid one of the people there would get a hold of them and strangle themselves
Isn't the curtains between the window and the fence look a like gate?
refreshing
The floor must've looked really nice during its time
i'd call them pink
how depressing
That floor is very retro. I always thought they were ugly when I was a kid but now that you don't see them as much its nice to see them
Half walls were used as dividers. There would be dozens of beds in one room and the dividers provided a kind of sense of 4 or so people to a section instead of an overwhealming 20 or something.

Creepy thought still
Between the hanging clothes and the curtins if seems like everyone just up and left suddenly.as to why thier would be curtins, their were diffrent levels of help that pts needed. It seems as though the pts in this area were not a danger to themselves or another.
The half walls were for privacy.
this is an interesting picture,it makes you wonder what the room looked like when it was in service.it probably looked nice.
I love the curtains. Can you imagine how beautiful this place must have been?
the curtains make it soft looking, kinda pretty, makes you think what it would have been like to live hear
blood red curtains, how soothing.
