Grounds W-6

Grounds W-6

The twin building of W-7. To the right is N-8, the maximum security female building. The walkway in the center connects the max security female and male buildings, as well as W-6 and W-7, and the catacombs.

This is the point where a tunnel goes underground. See how it intersects with the hill in the bottom left corner? Every building here is accessible from the inside via these tunnels.
One thing I loved about this place, it's almost like a nature preserve right in the middle of the city. birds singing, quiet and over grown, like a lost jungle city.
me and my 10 friends went through this whole building, goddog when u get this message i seen u before and i will be back for u.
OK you know where to find me :)
Another great photo, Motts. I love the contrast between the emerald-green vegetation and dull, decaying brick buildings.
that cement wall, is that part of the tunnels or are they down farther?
The tunnels connect EVERY building in the complex. Some are above ground and some are underground.
Thats a really great pic Motts. Any pictures of the catacombs? I would love to see them, they sound amazing.
Thanks man, yeah I have a photo but I'm not sure if the girl in it wants it posted... it's a crappy shot anyway. The catacombs are just steam tunnels, like at KP, but maybe not as long!
that is really a good picture, and byberry is an awesome place
I think there are flooded catacombs underneath the patient walkway. There are also catacombs leading to the large auditorium.
Sounds awesome. But are any of the stories true...?
I've been on N-8s building
Actually, an underground steam tullel runs next to the light hallway. it connects to N8, N-9, and N-10. This is the only portion that has sugnificant flooding.
yo Radical Ed was byberry always boarded, up my friend said when it first closed it had no boards on the windows he said that they boarded it up when people started going in there ? I might as well ask an expert right?
The buildings were all boarded up around 1993 or so.

I am a 44-year-old who was born across the street from Byberry, on Carter Rd. All of the kids from my street would play on the grounds that bordered our neighborhood. this site is great and I would love to go back and see it for myself.....I live in another state but next time I am up there.......
dt: sadly, almost all these buildings have been demolished this past year.
Looks like a great place to have sex
On xmas eve we explored n10 and walked down the driveway n8 and n9 semi demolished and walked thru the woods and found a big hole in the fence and parked on Carter rd and explored N10 got on the roof for about 5 mins and got off the roof and where on the 3rd and it sounded like someone was moving furniture across the hall and to this day can't figure out what it was.
That is W7 not w6 because it has fenceing on the 3rd floor roof .
wish I could've seen this place *sigh*
