777

777

These metal markers, once painted white and now rusting away, were quite unique.

I can alost feel the texture of the rust in this pic!
Fantastic color.
His lucky number was up I guess...
I like the red of the rust.
It makes you want to run your hand along the surface. Such amazing coloring.
It almost looks as if someone ran their fingers through the rust.
Where there a lot of the metal ones Motts?
They were mostly stone, but yes there were a good number of metal markers.
wow... this is a really great picture Motts.
this reminds me of something on a slipknot press conference

Media: If im 555 and your 666, then who is 777?

Corey Taylor: George W. Bush
Thats really interesting. I've only seen small plaques made of metal near tombstones but never a metal tombstone itself, very cool.
Odd
Seven is not my lucky number.
Cool, I didn't know they even used metal grave markers. Love the color.
The next town over from me has an old shaker cemetary with metal grave markers. When my sisters and I were teenagers the markers used to spook us something awful!
They are white and almost skull shaped and sit atop these long poles, truly unique.
Even now, as an alleged adult they sometimes spook me if I drive by them at night, on certain nights the white on them almost glows.....yikes... and I am not a believer of ghosts at all but still find it rather creepy.
If man is 5,
then the devil is 6.
And if the devil is 6,
then God is 7.

This monkey's gone to heaven.

>.> Okay, that was wrong. My bad.
No matter how many times I see these cemeteries like this, it still sickens me to see a human life reduced to an anonymous number.
777 is GODS number
Where's 666?
777 is not quite the "number of God" as much as it is the "number of perfection". Most sequences and numeral systems went no higher than 6 in ancient cultures, so the number "7" was deemed as one above all of the rest.
there is no god's number, idiots. If it isn't in the bible, or in the torah, or in the Qu'ran, it has nothing to do with this mythical "god" figure. It should also be pointed out that there never was any figure called "god" but that the actual names used by CHristians and Jews for their deity were simply changed to "god" to generalize and to combat the pagan religions which on several occasions were becoming more prevalent in the population who saw that christianity was not living up to it's claims, and in modern times this is proven by history. Go pick up some history books on the middle ages, early classical period, and late classical period, and STFU.
Wow... I'm impressed... you can spell words with numbers.

Lame.
oh my god

it's god!
sevensevenseven is my name- seven come, and seven go, and seven still remain.
On a slot machine, lucky. On a grave marker, NOT so lucky.
