Basement Chair

Basement Chair

Heading down to the basement, we didn't expect to find anything as the building was so empty (much like the rest of the campus), but here was a nice old wheelchair with three wheels...

Love the picture of the Wheelchair Motts????
'nice'?

Theres always been something about medical equipment of any kind, that freaks me out.
That is sooo cool. It needs to be a museum.

BTW did you sit in it Motts? That would have been a neat photo of you sitting in it.
No, I wouldn't want it to fall apart... I have sat in similar chairs (waiting for various reasons), they're quite comfortable even without any padding.
there it is!!! the lonely chair shot!!!
That's pretty old school, nice shot.
Wow, reminds me of the little wheelchair from the movie "The Changeling" in some ways! Just hope that it doesn't try and chase you! LOL!
VERY nice - I sure love those old wheelchairs!
No doubt that chair could tell many stories...
Now THAT is a wallpaper shot Motts, I love this one!
why does it look like it is on rails or skates?
Oh geeze! Loving the brown coloring and all of the dirtiness of the room, Oh and those drips on the wall are awesome, suburb image!
Neat chair! Yay new stuff!!
The entire composition of this shot is just awesome! I agree with Jude....this would make a nice wallpaper!! ; )
Oh my very proffesional the texture and colors blend well together. -Is tempted to sit in it- >.>...<.<
I wonder how old that chair is. Im sure it would fall apart if someone sat in it
Why 3 wheels? It looks like it should have 4...
That's actually very comfy looking!
A wooden reclining wheelchair- with three wheels.
Looks like it should be on the deck of a cruise ship.
That wheelchair also reminds me of that movie that is called, "The Changeling".
Yikes, those old wheelchairs creep me out...those and old rocking chairs.

Looks like maple though, it might stand up if you sat on it.
There were chairs exactly like this in the hospital I currently work for...about 35 yrs ago I remember being in one with a broken leg...they had smaller ones for kids. The hospital still has the chairs, but they are safely under the lock and key of the lone nun who still works there, she's about 88-90. Old lady still does "furniture rounds" just about every day, too....
Wow, what a find! Very nice looking chair!
The wheelchair and your photo........both are works of art.......
That wheel chair probably is worth quite a bit to a person who really be interested in it...exspecially in that condition. I wonder if anyone has ever taking something and got some money for something like that? I know I would do it for that...because if I just got that for myself it would freak me out...lol!
theres the chair mohooawahaha
put a cushion on it and we got a mobile recliner!
i believe that chair probably dates to the turn of the 19th century. we had one in the hospital where i went to school 40years ago
Motts, that picture is beautiful. It's a shame that the wheelchair is only going to sit there and rot when it could be in a historical center. But anywho, it's lovley!
It doesn't look like it would be too comfortable....its almost scary in some ways...but we did get the sad lonely wheelchair......Nice picture Motts....
Ahhh, The Changling!!! One of my fav movies!

"No Joseph, No!!!"

"My room...ranch......the well...Sacred Heart...my medal...no father, don't!"
I wonder what that thing can do in the 1/4 mile.
WOW this is stylistically very similar to the red house painters album covers awesome awesome shot
I wonder iof this chair was here, because someone was sent down here? I wonder if that person got out?
Tie a horse to the front of that and I bet you could win a few races at Saratoga!!
