Motts did all the doors look like this!!!!!
Hey why are the doors in places like these either always removed or open? Do they automatically lock upon closure? Better yet: Have you ever gone in and closed the door completely? I'm just curious, I'd always decline to try that..
Oh, I LOVE this one!
I have wondered about that to, EricaM, why the doors are always opened...hmm, can somebody answer that:-)
I suppose when a building closes, they do a sweep through to make sure nothing important was left behind... easier to do when the doors are open.

I've only seen doors in major passageways (main corridors, fire escapes, and stairwells) lock automatically.
Most of the door are locked with keys in prisons it's power the only one's that woulld be locked are offices med rooms and simular rooms and the patients in quiet room.
Awesome shot Motts!!! Love the lighting and angle!
Oh wow great pic, love the angle.
That looks more like a hold-down clamp than a door handle.
I'm waiting for nurse Ratchet to come walking down the hall with that ring of keys.

Great shot!
Nice shot, love the depth of field
wow. great shot. kinda creepy, but not scary. awesome.
Nice picture again , Motts. I too wondered why all the doors are left open. Its interesting but kinda creepy too.
I have heard that the locks in old prisons and mental institutions, etc, are removed when the building is vacated so that anyone who happens upon the building can't get locked inside accidentally. What a fate that would be.
Thanks KT, I think that will feed some nightmares for a while.
