Nesting

Nesting

I do not know what kind of machine this is, nor can I remember what kind of room this contraption was in, but I am curious. I regret not taking any other photos of it.

I wonder want was this machine use for.
Vacuum press?
Agree with Bill..looks like a vacuum press of some sort
It looks like a soap dispenser to me.
I know one thing, its scary looking
It looks almost like a vacuum sealer of some sort. Just my 2 cents
Could it be some different type of autoclave?
Trying to get the attention of the people who should be paying attention to a website that needs to be nationally advertised. Johnny doing his best. Always love Lynne.

Lynne, Have you ever seen one of those machines? Looks like something from the 50's
I agree with the folks above that it looks like a vacuum press. I'm not sure how it would have been used if that's what it actually is. Some guesses (if it IS a vacuum press) - to be used to do repair of veneering (on doors and furniture) for the hospital so the work wouldn't have to be sent out, to be used by OT staff for arts & crafts projects, to be used by rehab staff to build or repair orthotic devices. All wild guesses, since I don't really know what it is. :-)
Sucks...
:D HI HI HI I'M BACK HI.
But i think only lynne might remember me, a little?
I watch the discovery channel alot and on how it's made they use vaccum presses to seal things and such, so could they use it to seal sterile equipment untill the next use?
I'm sure i'm not right though.
Is this my darlin' Jo?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
Hard to say. But it does look like some sort of vacuum press with heat transfer.
This machine might have been used to have tested a persons heart rate.
Vacuum press to a heart rate machine what a jump.

Wow Lynne, I remember the first time i read that post and saw that pic I laughed my head off! And ever since everything is a soap dispenser. I was hoping the panic button would catch on...i'll have to work on it.
Lynne, bless you for the link to the soap dispenser-yep, we had 'em from grade school til Jr. High. Nasty powdered soap...
Weird looking... soap dispenser...
looks like some kind of incubator. things like these are used for acid digestion in path labs of, say feces. The hose may be an extractor for nasty smells & vapours.
Whatever it is, it's awfully big.
mr, sherman's wayback machine
If it is a vacuum press it could well have been used for making splints and the like. I've seen similar used in podiatrists. My first thought was some form of small steam sterilizer, for small procedure instruments.
It looks like a cross between a copier and a hot plate -
Could POSSIBLY be a vacuum form sign machine....you used a thin sheet of plastic, laid over top of movable text, apply heat to the bottom and suction to the top, and a quick roll-on of paint to the raised areas, and pow! Ya gotta sign! Not sure about the stainless table though, maybe they just had one laying around? Did you see any of that type of signage on the site? That would help confirm ....
