Wish I had just ONE of those pews!
B&W was definitely the best choice for this one.
Awesome picture, it’s to bad that places with this amount of fine and detailed craftsmanship to go waste.
stern seating, accommodates no slouchers.
Man those Rafters are incredible! and no crains to put them up either.
Wooden stuff! A wood butcher's dream come true!
We students sat in the pews and the nuns sat in the individual seats along the sides...there was a name for them but I can't remember it. I was there in the 50s...a long time ago.
Hey, there are metal folding chairs strewn about. Was there a professional wrestling event here?
That chapel must have been stunning in its prime.
There are no words to descobe the way it looked back then.
looks like the rear gallery still contained it's pipe organ......or organ chamber anyway!
Next to the empty altar, this is the saddest shot of them all.

A picture is indeed worth a thousand words.

Martha, how fortunate you were to have been able to go there.
there were tall carved wooden posts along the aisles...each pew. awesome...and gone by the time of this photo. visited the chapel in '89 as a gathering of the class of '69 was being put together...it grew to a gathering of the faithful from eden hall of sooo many classes...at overbrook academy. we wept alot and still miss the wonders of our school...and the wonderful nuns, RSCJ , who taught us. Our Lady's Chapel taught us, also. '53
