Blue Glow

The blue light is caused by white balancing the camera to reflect the true colors of the parts of the theater lit by flashlights (which were orange in color).

WALLPAPER!!!
Oh, I love it! Looks like there's a show about to go on, and the lights are just coming up...
Now that is too beautiful for words!
This place is amazing and even with the poop looks to be in really good shape.
A ghost show !
I'm curious if the chambers on either side of the stage once housed a pipe organ.....'theater organs' were built for movie houses and used to accompany silent movies in those days. Although I did see the shot of that ancient 'double deck' turntable a few photos ahead of this one.....
Magnificent!
Having been built in 1932, the odds of an organ having been installed are very slim.
But one can still hope and if it was there , it found a better home than it would have right now !!
Can't you just see the curtains sweep back and hear the music start?
wallpaper, motts?
In the immortal words of Bloc Party, "you are the bluest light."

Stunningly gorgeous, Motts.
stunning motts absolutly stunnin!
My family worked here for many years as did I- my sister was a professional roller skating exhibition skater and she and her partner used to give performances of exhibition dancing on roller skates in this very hall- in its day it was beautiful. I was a front office page starting at age 14, my mother was the head housekeeper, and my fathe the head ward attendant in bldg 21- my grandfather the fire chief, a cousin was on the police force and numerous other relatives worked throughout the complex. When i was a child and out of school, my mother would bring e to work and I would spend my day w/the patients doing OT (occupational therapy) and playing teacher w/patients as my students-some of my writings are on the walls of abandoned floors I am sure. I grew up with a very unique erspective regarding mental illness!!!
So interesting JOAN ! Members of your whole family worked here. Do you still work in the medical field? Its such ashame this auditorium is no longer in use, Thanks for your input.
