Stage

Some pigeons can barely be seen roosting in the decorative border around the stage.

I guess throwing popcorn in this theater will get you dive-bombed by small buzzards. LOL!
Where is the light coming from ? Is it natural light or electrical ?
Curious as to the light source as well. Could it be a hole in the roof?
Probably a hole...look at the next photo...half the stage is still dark
another great place to shoot a rock video, :)
I saw a photo of this same stage on another web site. It was taken closer to and up at an angle to the stage. You can see a hole in the ceiling.
Looks like it must have been beautiful once.
This pic gives me chills,
Very sad to see this. ThIs room is where the nurses pinning, capping and graduationceremonies were held. Makes me feel really old!!!
love it!
A guy named Bill Kelly used to run York Hall!
Amazing how the State would rather waste such space and beautiful theater that could have been used for children or schools to put ontheater productions for the community. Allentown PA is considering closing the State hospital as well. I am sure the grounds will sit and deteriorate as well. The patients suffer in these type beaurocratic decisons because they are sent back out to the community where they were unable to function in the first place. Most pof these patients are unable to care for themselves, or remember to take their medications ICM workersare not 24/7. I would like to make the community aware of how the State is about to "dump" their burden on them. Decisions like this only harm the community and most of all the patients we have been caring for.
The building is being renovated and put back into use for the community. (We are doing it)
