Wow! I like this shot. You can almost see people playing a game.
I gotta wonder what was in the pockets.
Thats so sad... i just wanna take it home, lol
8 Ball...Corner pocket
I'm suprised that no one has stolen that! Pool tables are expensive. It's seems like such a waste that it was just left to rot. I've never understood how people can leave things like that behind. Such a waste...
rackem' up!
What a beautiful pool table, too bad it is going to waste!
I can't believe someone hasn't destroyed it .
I would love to see that pool table restored to it's former glory.
take it sell it on ebay.
Were any of the balls still there?
Woot pool anyone? :D. Great picture.
sure guys..... just pick it up and carry it home. Do you know how much that thing weighs? and its value as a pool table is virtually nil. It was a second rate model from the biginning... and in its current condition definately not worth restoring. On the other hand, as a piece of abandoned asylum memorabilia... it probably has a fair amount of value. Still short of finding a moving company to go get it..... its staying right where it is... forever.
It's interesting to try and imagine patients and/or staff members playing pool there.
That pool table is supposed to be on it's side, i wonder who fixed it...
hahaha the floor tiles look like the ones they use to have at my high school before they ripped them up
The pool table makes me think that violent patients were *not* living in this building around the time of its closure. Cue sticks and pool balls are not something you would want on a ward with patients who were prone to violence (although I suppose the sticks and balls could have been kept locked in a cabinet so that staff could regulate access).
