93 in the Distance

One last look at the buildings in the summer haze before heading out again.

This is a nice, not often seen angle of 93. Very cool dude.
This just inspired me to go paint. :)
How many buildings of Kings Park are still standing?
I don think any buildings have been demolished since the 80s...
this house looks like a old factory......too big!and creepy :S just think how scary is there when night falls !
Hello, 93. Gosh, it's so beautiful. If youve ever walked up to it, you feel uverwhelmed by the huge yet unyeilding silence it gives off. Ominous, almost.
Looks like a figure standing on the grounds. Hope that is the photog.
Makes me wonder how many people have stood in this very spot and looked at this view as a patient.
Wow that is really awesome
I really wanna explore this place within the next year or so.
She is beautiful isn't she. Standing just below her she still seems to look down on you. Like a Queen on her throne. Of the 145 buildings on the site, she is the most easily recognized. There is no other building in the world quite like her and there never will be.
That speck on the window vaguely looks like a person.
oh my gosh. i absolutely love this photo, its so beautiful!!! just.... perfect!
I love looking out windows. This is such a great shot.
Thanks for that one last look and all the others this gallery provided.........
Another great gallery of photos Motts. I still have many, many to look through. I agree with someone's else's post above. I also wonder how many patients or staff have looked outside this same window. It does make one wonder doesn't it?? Thanks again Motts.....
building 93 should be renovated and turned into a hotel or a jail, or school. its very sad to see this building in such poor condition.
I look at this picture and can't help but wonder if a patient ever stood there, looking through those bars, and either understood or realized that the prison those bars created was nothing compared to the prison of their own mind. If only we could see what that window has seen. It seems very sad. Like that is a window where someone lost their mind and themselves forever.
Kirk, its actaully very nice there and why not have a nice peaceful place on LI?
Building 93 rocks. I've never been inside of it but have been upclose and let me tell you it definitely makes you feel kind of small and insignificant. Also the look and feel of its surroundings help add to the ominous feel to the building... it's like no other place on Long Island.
It looks like in row 2, 2 squares up in the window that someone in a silhouette is walking in the distance. Kind of creepy but cool
there are rumors that theyve knocked all of the buildings in the park down but none of that is true. theyre still there.
the basement of this building was also a bomb shelter-with water and my grandfathers occupational therapy shop was also located there, later moved to the 1st floor.
i love this shot it`s chilling
This building at one time held the criminally insane on the top floor who were treated with shock therapy. It is also said to be the most haunted for that same reason.
Devin...do you mean building 93 or the building hes taking the picture from?...
