Something about this photo sends chills down my spine. Very creepy
treatment of what i wonder...
Motts did you look inside to see whats there.
probably some Haldol, Ativan, Diazepam, Thorazine, stuff that will definately make a psych patient think twice about acting up
probably antesia, or stuff used to calm down the patients before treatment
time for you shot!
Oooh, I love it. I'm a sucker for those sorts of labels, I think they look excellent...
Looks like a typical hospital filing cabinet. It's in good condition.
As opposed to what? Medicine against treatment?
Would love to see that sign in an actual doctors office
Medication...must be for the ones who have "problems".
Holy shiznit.

These pictures send chills up my spine......

Especially the last one, the clown??
Okay I'd have to say thats a lot more chilling than the clown photo.
Gotta love those old metal file cabinets, they never die. If there is a nuclear holocaust, them and Keith Richards will certainly survive! LOL
Good point... what else would medication be for?
Just a reminder that people worked here, lived here. That they working to take care of people.
i want the kay that went to that =P
The treatments were probably lotions and creams. The medications probably would have been in carts with many tiny drawers for each individual person.
was there any meds in there
No, the meds would have stayed locked up until time to dispense them. That was probably the drawer where they kept the meds for the people on the ward.
We have a cupboard in our dining room that has a lock on it . Our house used to be a group home for mentally challenged about 25 years ago, and obviously they kept medication and things locked up in it. I've had a couple of experiences with ghostly type things happening (someone shoving the bed really hard while I was in it, orbs in photos, smells of things not in the house at the time, like cookies baking and flowers). Nothing that scares me at all, but it makes me sit up and take notice.
wow sparky, thats interesting.your house certainly has a great history to it.
Yo motts, since this place is like right down the street, i know lots about it. They just like threw patient records into the woods, and some equpitment. Supposedly people would sneak into the closing hospital and see patients just like walking around..... Theres so uch to it though... Theres like 100 buildings
to relax them before a labotomiy or EST
remember that the invention of psychiatric medications were the reason Kings Park got shut down so God knows what "Medication" and treatments they were giving the patients
I'm thinking some anticonvulsant/anxiolytic/sedative and antipsychotic meds... barbiturates, benzos, etc.
Wow i find this stuff totally fascinating !!
I agree with Emma!!!This stuff is extremly fascinating!!!my mom used to work in one of the quads...
