Interesting that the medical community is now touting Vitamin D as the cure all for several types of cancer. Now they are saying that a little bit of sun is more beneficial!

the sun lamp could also be early treatment for patients with Seasonal affective disorder (SAD) most people when dx'ed with that have special lighting. There is a chance that S.A.D wasn't around when this hospital was up and running- that i am not sure of.

Sun lamps were also used to treat some skin conditions.

Also, much more effective in treating "bi-polar", depression, and SAD.

That machine has had it's heart broken so many times.


For SAD you need a big panel of soft diffused light you can sit or lay next to.
