Drawers

Drawers

Very close to the x-ray department was the morgue, which consisted of a narrow room with a two drawer refrigerator. No discernible autopsy room or lab was found.

Maybe all deaths were shipped off for autopsy?
Or it's a glorified meat closet. LOL!
Motts! Is that graffitti in the drawer?
there is no mourge here
dont waste your time thinking their is
Morgue. Noun. A place in which bodies are kept.

Sure looks like one to me.
rumors about this place is they would "lose" the dead bodies
Oh isn't that wonderful. Losing bodies? Yeah, i'm definitely in agreement with Mike up there...this is a morgue. Very small one, not very practical for the amount of patients though.
oh my goodness.
thats creepy weird.
Nice pic but that´s just wrong,
It's kind of odd that there wouldn't be an autopsy room... maybe they just shipped the bodies out?
Perhaps they just didn't do autopsies there. If most people died of what they were expected to die from all they would need is a small morgue to hold the bodies until other arrangements were made. I was recently in a small hospital with a very similar morgue.
Lots of State hospitals have small morgues. The keep bodies there untilarrangements can be made with, family, and the funeral homes.

Can't have spoilage now, can we?
Motts, have you ever been through [edited] a bit high security for a camera crew though, as there is an operational high security hospital there
Yes I have, it was quite a fantastic morgue and a tough place to access (without permission). Apologies for editing the location, its been getting quite a bit of unneeded attention lately IMO.
the institution I worked at had a morgue only obtainable by the underground tunnels.
Why is there consistantly graffitti in every old morgue? It's as if tagging in this place of death makes you seem more alive or something? Defying Death? Hmmmmmm......
no, but the locals do certainly worse; before about 2 years ago security there was nil and one of my friends actually got closed in one of those drawers when she and her friends decided to go screwing around there
i love the angle of this shot
love the picture the mourgue was such a scary experience because me and my cousin did not know it was a mourgue so we sat on the drawers and later that night we did some research and found out it was the mourgue i was so in shock to think i was sitting on something dead children was on =[ i was so sad
umm...what are those red spots in the drawer?tell me it's paint, or graffiti or something.
Let's hope that's not blood...

-shiver-
AFTER ALL THIS TIME BLOOD WOULD NOT STILL BE RED IT WOULD HAVE TURNED BROWN
Well yes, Donna you are right. Blood is only red when it's still a liquid, and is dry it's brown.
That is so messed up.. the things that happened @ this place and so little we know or what little ppl do tell. i cant belive someone one spray paint this place excuse my french but what assholes i hope they got the shit scared out of them!
That place looked like it was depressing even in it's hey-day.
Why would there be an autopsy room, if someone passed they probably placed them in the morgue until they were taken elsewhere.
Thats so sad.
From what I understand, a lot of bodies were burried on the grounds, out in the woods. There were a lot of deaths due to the experiments done on these poor people. There was also a lot of abuse that happened.
I find it strange that this school needed a morgue
This is a good shot. You got a good angle.
I'm curious as to what brian ferreira thinks this is, if not a morgue.
Tagging up an old morgue is just whistling past the graveyard. There's a drawer waiting somewhere for that tagger, for that very special day.
I actually live in Exeter and its sad the number of kids who go here just looking for trouble. I am way too scared to go at night but kids go in to do drugs, get drunk, and just destroy the place. It is a lovely place but I wish you got a picture of the pool, that is truly a scary place to go. Even in the daytime...
they also buried the bodies in the ladd school cemetery. the stones only have names on them. a few do have a year but most dont. also all the stones are made of cement and they look kinda creepy during the day. i cant wait to see them at night!!!!
GRAFITTI SUCKS!
Show some respect! There were dead people there!
thay would put a body on that when some one would die an see how they did to look for anything wrong with that person
the autoposy room is down the hall to the right
AUGH! That's REALLY CREEPY! I don't know hy, but I have a severe adversion to dead things and places where they are. I just could not be in that room. GAD that's creepy.
Very gruesome indeed. Doubt if that's blood in the drawer - it wouldn't be bright red anymore. Rather, it'd be dark brown.
i agree with malissa blood turns brown right?
but i think that is grafiti my nana has seen that place when it was up and runny and she saw the swings running now theyre all rickety ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww thats creepy my nana picked her friend up from work there because she vu=oulenteered
Does anyone know where the cemetery is?
The ladd school cemetery
ive been there.. its actually very creepy... i only went in the circle buildin.. does anyone know whea the pool is.. cause ive been tryin to find it for like 3 weeks now.. but i cnt.. and i was leaving that place and i seen a girl in the window lookin at me and my friends.. very creepy.. but it was fun.. a cop even told us that he has been in thea and its actually very scary.. wen i went people said that they heard a dog braking and a little girl crying.. i heard both.. and i also seen a lab coat wit a major amount of brown blood.. and yas blood does turn brown after a few weeks...
Holy shit this place is really scary
I so love this pic! i so wanna take my pic laying on it! motts ur such a awesome photographer! =D
this was a small scale morgue, and if there was no family to come claim the child, the body would be "lost" by staff. as it turns out the bodies were actually incinerated in the building with the large smokestack near the property enterance (not sure what the building name is)
lol there is a morg there somg of my frends went there and got mad skard cos one of them wen it one of the botycoler things and got stuk in it theres a morg there
yeah the people saying thats there no morgue there is i have been there and laid inside the on the draw. so if you dont know it for sure do say there isnt one.

there is a lab and all that there.you just got to know how to get to it
This shot really does make me want to go investigate....
I have been there and know someone who worked there long ago. Thy dumped female bodies in the forest or dumpster after raping them and they despoited of male bodies however they felt
The rumors about this place are incredible. No, there is no autopsy room. The rooms upstairs from the morgue with the white slab tables were for washing and bathing the patients. When patients died, they were kept in the morgue freezers until they could be picked up by the family or shipped to Rhode Island Hospital for autopsy. They weren't dumped in the swamp. They weren't cremated or burned on a stone in the woods. There was no crematorium. The building with the smoke stack was the power plant and fire station, NOT a crematorium.

The pool and the recreation buildings have been renovated and are now apart of the Exeter Job Corps Academy, a vocational school. You have to drive past the Job Corps Academy to get to Ladd Center and if their security sees you, they will call the state police. There is also a drug rehab and detox house near the Fogarty hospital and if the staff sees you, they will also call the police. A few of the small buildings behind the power plant (including the old pharmacy) are still in use and the power plant/fire station is armed with a burglar alarm system.
I was there its real hear and fell all the thiks it was scarry
I've laid in that bottom one, and let my friends close it.
NEVER. AGAIN.
i see blood
