Nice set! I remember going here as a kid! It was a nice place...
This place looks cool too.
I love drive-ins, I miss going to them. Great little set Motts, the skies were awesome!
That was neat! Thanks for the set, Motts!
Great shots. Thank you once again :)
That's such a haunting shot Motts, well done!
Nice set, Motts! I lost my uh .... let's say my purse in a drive in, in SoCal! Wonder where it went! I'll never tell!
Long live the king of photo art.
Small but a really good gallery.

How come you haven't put up any galleries in a long time?
Needed to work.
What do you do for a living Motts aside from taking these great photos?
I work as a freelance web/CD-ROM interactive programmer and designer.
Been a long time lurker now first time poster. We have three in my area (central ohio). One is now a junk yard w/ the screen still standing. The second is a quarter of a mile where I work. It has dual screens though much like this place. The last place is still in operation, and proves to still be pretty popular. Last movie I seen there was "Ghost Busters".
That sounds like a really neat job Motts! I'm just no good at any of the web, html type stuff...so i definitely admire people who can! Yet another great set! Two thumbs way up a real Box Office Smash!
hey i just wanna say thanks for taking these! brought back good memories lol and they just ripped this placed down to build apartments :( so thanks for capturing these pictures before they destroyed it.
i have been by this many times. there is a real cool abandoned drive in on route 12 in danielson. i haven't been by there is awhile but the speakers were still up last time i saw it.
Thanks Mott for an awesome but sad memory of the Magnificent Hartford Drive In ~~ as the back of he screen said WE WILL MISS YOU MR. B and we shall carry the memories of drive ins everywhere... with us forever.. an era forever gone
it was a nice place when it was new like everything not any more we all must age sooner or later
i've never been to a drive-in before... but this seems cool! lol
There is a drive-thru (I think) still across the river, over in West Quincy in Missouri. I know that it had been closed for some time when the Great Flood of '93 ruined a good portion of the low-lying land over on that side of the river, and I believe now that if the screen is still there, it is being used as a billboard advertising the idea that apparently, "Jesus Lives!"
I saw Sleeping with the enemy on this screen when it first came out. I was probably 8. But wow.
We had an old drive in in my town for years when I was a kid. It was never used, but they had the local flea market and the circus there every year. Then, walmart bought it up and built a Sams and a supercenter.
my 3D-TV is better lol BTW i dont have one lol
I drove past this place almost every day, since I live just down the road from it. I was really upset when they turned it into condos. There was a part of me that hoped that someone would get it running again. Thanks for the memories Motts.
