Blood and Body fluids. Nasty
I'd love to stick that sticker on my mothers fridge! Watch her freak out! LOL
I would imagine these people are still around, first and last names... that's kind of an iffy post. Well, I guess the reponsibility lies with someone else....
I had a nurse tell me years ago that the ONLY good thing to come out of the AIDS pandemic is that the medical profession finally started treated blood as the biohazard it is (how ironic), rather than wearing it as a red badge of courage. That really made me stop and think.
i think that's true about the casual attitude we used to have about blood, etc. we didn't go change for a few spatters, who had time.....
one general surgeon at the hospital where i trained used to walk around wearing these disgusting blood splattered shoes. it was so nasty. can you imagine being a family member & here comes the surgeon w/his bloody shoes?
mink
looks like someone tried to take the sticker
Did you blur 'property of xxxx' on purpose, Motts? Or the note actually looks like that?
It was blurred out for the location name.
I should like to print up some signs like this one and the "psychiatric chemistry" lab one as well as the mentioned "experimental patients waiting room" and see who would buy them.... also i should by some little coolers and put biohazard stickers on them.... and see if they would sell.
ummm no emergency 2 contact? oh poop!!
That's cool Kristiara! Now I want it too...... LOL!
I wonder why they had to list names on the front of that sign? Maybe if a researcher was exposed to it? Hmm.
That's just information for which staff you are supposed to contact if there is an emergency or if you have questions.
Oh Lynne don't be modest. You are Risk Management Royalty
Lordy, I hope Joanne and Larry made it out alive. It's syringes, labs, and nice curved clinical features. Where are you Joanne and Larry, we want to know. We love you and hope you survived the madness.
blood and body fluids, YUMMY!
There would not be any problem with staff names being posted. As Lynne has already noted, emergency contacts are required to be prominently posted. This was a state facility, so a person's employment there was a matter of public record.

Out of curiosity, and to add even more "life" to the photo, I did a google search and found several references for "Joanne Wojcik" and "Larry Seidman." One of the Ms. Wojciks is a researcher on mental health topics. Her published work has included studies of cognition in schizophrenia and treatment of nonpsychotic relatives of patients with schizophrenia. One of the Mr. Seidmans is a professor of psychology in the Psychiatry Department of a major university medical school. There is also a Larry Seidman who is a professional photographer.
Thank you so much for that information!
I was wondering the whole time.
Nice to know all that!
:]
I would love to have the top part of that sign for my condo.
Great minds think a like I see dme. I am doing the exact same thing
Hee hee I know Dr. Seidman- he's a brilliant researcher still on staff at MGH.
