Honey, I am late for dinner because.........
Interesting... the sign looks to be on the outside of the door and there doesn't seem to be a handle there either.
Can you just imagine how many emberrasing moments there must have been to promt someone to post that sign?

"where's Davis?!"

"poor schlep must have locked himself in there again"

"how long you think we should leave him in there this time? haha"
that sucks, I would go crazy in there
But... it's on the inside of the door...
[look at the previous photo - taken from inside the room]

surely you would want it on the outside to read when you open the door? Or better yet, on BOTH sides of the door!
Seems kind of like those frozen cake boxes that had "Other side up" on the bottom now that it's too late and the frosting is all messed up...
No Handle on the door Let Me Out Now.
in the dictionary under redundent it says see redundent
LMAO@ Nathan's comment.
Oof. Imagine exploring there and getting stuck?
You'd have to call a friend to sneek in and get you out..eek!
I'd do the good samaritan thing and remove the lock, so no-one would get trapped..
That would be kind freaky if you'd have a dangerous patient and had got locked in that room with him/her.
Now that is a good warning sign.
Another door/sign I hope not to see in any future dreams!
Very scary....I wouldn't want to be trapped inside that room. It must have been hard as a patient to be staring at 4 walls. I do hope some of them were helped.
What I want to know is how the hell anyone could be helped by being locked in a room by themselves? You cant. Seclusion does nothing more than worsen a persons psychosis, how can it make it any better?
It would be helpful if the person were suffering substance abuse related problems. Being over-looked without escape while going through withdrawl. I've been there, done that. Trust me, it's useful.. especially when someones life counts on it.
There were a lot of signs on doors like this in Cederwood State hospital that Molly and I visited last summer.
some folks can have stimuli issues (autistics in particular)- too much information coming in at once... a room like this could easily help them down from a stimuli-frenzy.
