railroad?
In the old days, the rail came right up to the building, though i forget which one. You know those concrete things they have on some LIRR stops? There's a rather large one where the train came to, though its been overtaken by vines and brush.
The Long Island Railroad used to reseve 100 car unit Coal trains from Conrail and Norfolk Southern Railroads which came up from West Verginia. This hospital used to reseve between 1-2 trains a month before it shut down. Each railroad car contained 90 tons of coal.
