Well, that's it for my 2006 European trip... no worries though, there are plenty of more incredible places shot in 2007 from Belgium and Germany, and well over 100 locations from the US I haven't gotten to!

I hope you've all enjoyed these sets, I know I have had a great time exploring overseas, and hope to do it as often as possible.

Wow!! Great Gallery. Thanks as always!
allright I like this one too!!
WALLPAPER?????
Stunning set of photos!
Great set, thank you! Question: Where in the world did the wedding ceremony occur? ...Doesn't look like the castle was very safe for that kind of event!
Thank you so much for sharing these photos with us =] they're works of art.
Thank you for sharing the world with us Motts :) This gallery was wonderful
Motts, if you have that many sites that you haven't posted I think you may need an assistant.

This set has a ton of beauty in it Motts, thank you once again for sharing what you see with us!
your IR shots rock
Alas and ending.....the infared is to die for! Another great Gallery Motts. Oh, I totally agree with Jude. :-)
Another great gallery Motts, looking forward to the future ones. ^.^
And once again, as usual, excellent pics Motts !! Keep up the good pace and a lot of greetings from holland!
Beautiful work as always, Motts.
Isn`t it ironic (not to mention disgusting) that such a beautiful building can survive hundreds of years, and two World Wars, only to essentially be destroyed by the Ministry of Defence?
As much as your work uplifts me, the fact that these buildings fall into ruin in the first place, saddens me.
Beyond incredible Motts! Yet again, you've exhausted my vocabulary and exclaimation marks!
One of the best! Thank you!
This is great, I cant wait to see your future pictures, how does one get involved with this? Id love to explore these places. I did explore a place last month and would love to share my pictures if anyone is interested
Thank you again for the lovely photos, Motts!
:-)
What else can I saw but thank-you for all the stunning shots.

You are amazing Motts.
all I can say is book book book book book book book book book book book book book book book book book boook .
Ditto kim. Only thing about a book is, colour photos tend to jack up the price a bit, so I don't know how expensive it would be to produce one. But I'd sure buy it.

Once again I'm lost for words. Great job, man.
Great set, love 'em all.
ANOTHER great set, Motts!! Thanks! Also, I must agree about this pic....WALLPAPER!!
All the above..Great work Motts...Your photo's alway go great with a fat blunt....Keep up the killer work...Peace
Bravo! It must be awesome to see these places in person... I wish we had castles in the US! Real castles, anyway... Looking forward to seeing more amazing photography!
I love this place! It's sad they plan to tear it down. I actually saw another gallery with Mesen Castle, and the guy had shot the pictures in either 1999 or 2000. Looks like it's gotten alot worse since then.
Did I mention DARKNESS IS YOUR FRIEND? It makes pictures come alive.

Great Gallery Motts
If you publish a book, anyone who has posted a whole lot here should get a discount!
Thanks again Motts they just keep getting better. I dont know how they can but they do.
I cant wait to see ALL the rest of the locations you have.
Great work on your trip, Motts... you've made your gallery-goers proud! :D
What is the next gallery Motts? I hope it is great one!
Perfect as always. I've got a question: are there any such locations in poland maybe? I was looking for some time, but i found nothing.
I'm sure there's a lot to explore in Poland... the border guards wouldn't let me in earlier this year. Perhaps next time.
Just wondering, do you guys actually have a career from doing this or is it a hobby?
I can't make money off this to be a career, but I wouldn't call it a hobby. It is definitely a large part of my life.
Next time holland/belgium/germany i really hope to meet u motts, got several places worth to shoot. (trainstations, old factorys and churches...)

At least (hopefully) your site is bringing these castles and buildings back to some kind of public awareness. Even if its only here on this page....I like to think the buildings went out with that last breath of thanks for having at least us as an audience in awe of its history and beauty.
I've been silently admiring these galleries for over a year now....but just wanted to let you know how amazing your photos are....and what amazing sites you've discovered! Keep up the wonderful work you're doing!
is this real or fake?
these are real photos. Mr. Motts takes these photos and shares them along with his experience while photographing them via this blog.
Amazing gallery. I got back from my own Europe Adventure a month ago. This last picture reminds me of how new houses are framed. It goes through a cycle of life as joyous and sad events alike are played out inside until it is left alone, starts deteriorating, and returns to its former baby-shell.
Ah well, that's my attempt at 12 AM philosophy ;)
This one is great for a wallpaper.

Overall, GREAT gallery this time!! :)
Shylo- This is a real IR photo of this location.
Motts,
I thank you for these well presented postings.
In days past I enjoyed nothing more than the welol planned night mission to a new disused industrial location to explore, document and imagine. Times have changed somewhat, and the benefit to risk ratio has cut down on my willingness to place myself in a position of trespassing violation as it might affect my security clearance. That being my excuse for not being out there...I revel in your explorations vicariously, and enjoy the visual point of view you present immensely.
Would like to correspond,
Wm.
Gotta love the IR. Motts are you independantly wealthy? Because I would love to be able to travel and take pictures like this. Good show!
Thanks; no I'm usually scraping together money to travel like this.
Let's make him wealthy!!

My Great grandmother's maiden name is Bette. Bette's owned this castle in the 1700's!
Lovely
Totaly Awesome Motts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A hearty THANKS doesn't seem to cover all the enjoyment you provide for us.......but a HEARTY THANKS just the same!
As an ex pupil (1932-1939) I thoroughly enjoyed these marvellous photos but was saddened to see how my wonderful school has fallen into such a pitiful ruin
Its so nice to see words from a former student . Also nice to know that you loved those buildings too. It must have been beautiful back in the day. Thanks for all the pictures Motts. I may not comment on all of them but they are beautiful pictures....I only comment when I feel I need to. I've got many other galleries of yours ot look through. I hope you will have more for 2008 to come. These are stuning. What a shame for this building to die out so to speak. How sad really. I do hope they save those stained glass windows at least.
beautiful pics, thx again!!:)
Motts,I know i'm at the bottom of the comments but i hope you read this and know that the last three days of looking at your photos which i accidently stumbled across have been so so so worthwhile comment soon .DG...
TO everything there is a season, and a time
to every purpose under the heaven :
A time to be born, and a time to die;
a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which has been planted ;
A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to
break down, and a time to build up;
A time to weep; and a time to laugh; a time
to mourn, and a time to dance;
A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace,
and a time to refrain from embracing; a time
to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep,
and a time to cast away; a time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a
time to speak;
A time to love, and a time to hate;
A time of war, and a time of peace.

Wow, guitorman....nice! My post isn't as good as that one!
Anyway, Motts, beautiful gallery! I've said it before, I'll say it again....it literally makes me sick to my stomach to see beautiful places such as this one rotting, and one so old! How sad! I'm so happy you are here to share these images with us all! Thanks Motts!
i really wish places like these aren't being demolished, i want to start traveling and doing photography like this but i cant when there aren't any of these cool places... :-(
Truly a jaw dropping gallery. I am almost done looking at all of the other galleries, thinking what else could he do to surpass what I saw - and this is it! I was literally agape as each new picture loaded. A beautiful site and stunning pics. Thanks so much, Motts!
